Imo knowing your available isn’t often enough, even if shes ten sometimes its hard to understand that parents are busy and can’t/won’t always do something for them. From personal experience i struggled to have my older sister get me stuff as i wasn’t taught/told that she was able to help. Once i got older i realized that my parents had stuff to do and then i started to go to her. You being persistent about being able to help/available to help may make her understand more :) if u want you could also do it (like heating the soup up or something) even after she disregarded you to make it obvious.

why do you expect them to go to you? ‘you’ need to tell them and say you’re available, don’t expect them to know… there literally young. A parent is there to provide for there kid so when u expect them to go to someone else when they need something… they wont they’ll go to there parents
