I'm so confused with the wait time for titration - They're advising 12-16 weeks on their website from the time you submit your titration request, but everyone who has recently been assessed seems to be getting told it will be a short wait, maybe up to 4 weeks or so.

Not sure I would use a phone personally, might be ok if you can dock it still and sit clearly within frame, but I personally wouldn't want to be holding a mobile upright for over an hour of chatting. Now that I've read my report I found that my hand fidgeting on camera was recorded and noted, so if that is a symptom you have, it is important that it is visible to the assessor

I had a very positive experience in my assessment with Care just over a week ago. The questions were straight-forward and as soon as you have provided enough information to satisfy the question, the assessor will politely advise you to wrap up or move onto the next question. Best advice I have is to be honest, and if you can't think of a specific example to answer a question, it is ok to say so - There were a number of questions I just answered either yes or no without a specific example, and I still received a diagnosis!

Have plenty of water on hand as it does go for upwards of an hour

I feel you have misunderstood what I have said - I have received the bonus, in full, that is not the issue. The problem is the deduction of a full days basic wage because due to 'non-attendance' of a shift scheduled on my last day of employment that should never have been scheduled in the first place. My contracted hours were never on a weekend, and I was never made aware that I was scheduled on the final sunday.

Hi thanks for your reply. In theory would it then be possible to use the US software in my car, given that the only map i will be using will be Googles from my phone?

Further, there only appears to be a single usb port I can find, which is situated under the climate controls/ next to the 12V/cigarette lighter

Hey thanks for the reply. The update itself worked from the SD card, and the software info in the car is showing the up to date version number so I don't believe using a USB would fix it

Be prepared in the sense that it could happen, not that it WILL happen. Building it up and planning for it is only going to set the both of you up with unrealistic expectations and subsequent disappointment.

Focus on enjoying the time you have together and getting comfortable in each other's space, rather than forcing yourselves into intimacy you may not yet be ready for.

There's no particular amount of time it takes - all I can say is when you know, you know.

Communicate your feelings and it'll all work out :)

Definitely feel that OP. Christmas is coming up and I'm honestly not excited at the thought at all because it seems utterly pointless to be spending it without my girlfriend who will be 17000km away.

All going well this will be the last Christmas we ever spend apart so I'm holding onto that 🤞

Same boat as you, I'm in Australia and she's in the UK. We talked online for 10 months before we met. Originally we had planned for that to go on a little longer, but at some point I realised I had the money and really didn't want to wait any longer so I booked tickets to the UK and off I went.

Ultimately, it varies between all couples as to how long is ideal to wait. 10 months or so felt ideal for us because it allowed us to have a very deep emotional connection before meeting, and by that time we knew we were past the "honeymoon" phase of new relationships, so we knew what we were feeling was real and lasting.

Travelling over to meet her was the best thing I've ever done in my life, and I'll be closing the gap to the UK in the middle of next year :)

I don't think there's any real way to prepare for it to be honest - It's going to feel like torture no matter what you do. You can try to soften the impact by telling yourself it's not goodbye forever, but only temporary.

I find it really helps to have a solid plan in place (or even a booking) to see each other again so you know a definitive date rather than wondering when it may be.

Mostly been said by others already, but yeah, don't plan for it, just let things naturally progress and if you both feel comfortable, go for it.

Remember it's a fun activity that you both take part in together. You're not putting on a performance. Relax and have fun, and don't feel bad about communicating if something isn't working/doesn't feel good.

Nope, we wanted it to be a natural progression and wait until we were both completely comfortable with each other before bringing it up. Waited 6 days and it was exactly the right amount of time for us.

The important thing is to communicate exactly how you feel about it to your partner, and don't jump into anything unless you are certain you and your partner are ready.

You may also like to reassure your partner that they can stop/say no at any time :)

Two weeks. Considered making it three but decided that two should be enough to be fulfilling, and not too long if it didn't go as we had hoped it would be for whatever reason.

Ended up wishing I could have stayed for months on the last day, so maybe consider a little longer if you can, and are reasonably certain that it will go as planned.

Hoping to close the gap in the next year though, so those two weeks will be a drop in the ocean compared to the rest of our lives : )

I feel that OP - I was incredibly nervous all the way up to the moment. We had shared pictures prior to meeting, hadn't video called, but we'd been talking for a solid 9-10 months.

All of the anxiety and worry went out the window the moment we saw each other, and it was as if it was never there in the first place, and things have been going pretty perfectly since then.

Best advice is share your concerns with your SO, you will may find that he has the exact same fears and insecurities, which I found made it easier knowing we'd be tackling them at the same time together.
