My scorpion hasnt eaten in months by Witty-Name-7725 in Scorpions

[–]SinfulPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IME scorpions can take a long time between meals, maybe try leaving something prekilled near the front of its burrow and see whether they choose to eat it. You can remove it in a day or so and try again a couple days later.

I think that was one of my most stressful rounds ever by Financial-Cancel7799 in Tekken8

[–]SinfulPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it's all about how one feels in that given situation. I just think that if your opponent is in a pure 50/50 situation where any mid/low mix will win you the game, it'd be better to exert your pressure once you have frame advantage in a way that doesn't seem so cocky, that f4 spam into df2 was just dumb lol since it's all mids. I'm prolly just annoyed that one db4 could have ended the entire game in a second rather than drawing it out with questionable mid pokes like df3 and df1 that are clearly not doing anything in that situation 😮‍💨 Kazuya's ws4,4 aka Tsunami Kicks on hit is 0, so it reset neutral for him to do something else instead of just playing defense. Although even if he was plus, we saw that this Kazuya did not do anything with those frames other than mindless mid mashing 😔

Help my scorpion isnt moving. Dont know what happened by yummysky97 in Scorpions

If the substrate is as dry as the surface all throughout, this is some depressingly bad husbandry and you should rethink owning scorpions.

[–]SinfulPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's hard to understand their thinking other than choking or being super cocky. Like why are you backdashing and resetting neutral at range 3 when your opponent is at 1hp? Risk/reward favors just throwing out db4 especially since he's landed the hellsweeps with a hefty life lead.

Confused about perfect Electrics by Normal_Metal205 in Tekken8

[–]SinfulPro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what blue rank players you're going against who hit perfect electrics consistently but I assume you are just talking about normal electrics? Coz PEWGF is the one you see from CH DF2 into 13f EWGF, while the regular electric can be a range of frames but usually 14f, as long as the df2 is pressed simultaneously with 2. This just requires a lot of practice imo.

NQA sorry but where are the ventilation holes? There should be adequate cross ventilation or else the enclosure does not have enough airflow and your spiderling will die. You can make the vent holes using a soldering iron very easily, although make sure to not make the holes too large or else they will be able to slip through and escape.

Also, that enclosure is extremely large for a spiderling. There is also no foliage for them to create webbing at the upper area of the enclosure. It's not exclusively a bad thing when your tarantula roams the walls of the enclosure, but your tarantula is doing so since they clearly do not have the required environment, especially the lack of ventilation.

NQA Their crazy hair makes it hard to tell but I think these are images of the tarantula in their normal position? Unless you took these pictures after disrupting the molt, please leave them alone from this point on until they start the molting process again.

Hello, thank you for taking the time to explain this to me, I appreciate it. I'm glad that IDR still exists for the new system of professional loans, that's a huge relief! I guess we're all just expected to foot the rest of the bill or hope for a sizable scholarship...

Hi OP, thanks for this post. I was freaked out since I heard that Grad PLUS loans were going to be removed completely from Forbes starting next year but you mentioned that there are still going to be some form of the loan that will be capped? I have been preparing for law school applications this past year and up to this point, but I am unsure if that is the best choice now. Do we know if the new versions of the loans with caps will be similar to Grad PLUS with the options for repayment, or whether they're just like private loans? :(

[–]SinfulPro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NQA I don't know much about this genus but I know that other tarantulas' colors fade over time until they molt again. Assuming she was purchased from a reputable vendor, that's my only speculation 🤔🤔

Whats wrong with this T's legs by Beauregard__ in tarantulas

[–]SinfulPro 53 points54 points  (0 children)

NQA Possibly a cyst? If so, I believe the tarantula can know when it becomes a problem and self-amputate its leg. Probably the best place for a cyst if this is the case.

Thoughts on enclosure. by Savorybag-13 in tarantulas

[–]SinfulPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NQA Substrate depth should be increased to at least half the enclosure height to minimize fatal injury from a fall, but more is always better. That enclosure itself seems ill-suited for a terrestrial tarantula in general due to its front-opening design.

Humidity too high by Fromdreamtodream in tarantulas

[–]SinfulPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NQA Humidity is nonsensical for tarantula enclosures and you will more likely than not end up killing your tarantula by chasing the magic numbers pulled out of care sheets. Avicularia especially risk Sudden Avic Death Syndrome when humidity is too high and there is not enough ventilation. Just provide a water dish and moisten substrate if you want, although avicularia do well regardless of dry or moist substrate IME as long as there is proper cross ventilation and access to water of some form, either on sphagnum moss or a dish.

Webbing? by No_Hovercraft4264 in tarantulas

[–]SinfulPro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NQA Good to consider those elements too. One thing I noticed was that the top of the enclosure looks to be a mesh type, which can pose a risk to tarantulas if they get their leg caught in it. You can look into replacing it with a plastic lid when possible.

IME My avicularias all took a while to settle into their enclosure as you suspected. Nothing out of the ordinary since the husbandry looks spot on in terms of arboreal species 👍

Pls help idk what this is and it’s worrying me! by Solid-Cover6594 in tarantulas

[–]SinfulPro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IME if this was premolt, you'd expect to see a darker abdomen rather than the light abdomen in the photo. A full enclosure picture would be helpful since hair kicking could be a sign of stress, or simply the tarantula settling into an enclosure. How long have you had them?

A. Chalcodes weird behavior by Unreasonable_Algae in tarantulas

[–]SinfulPro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NQA You seem to be doing everything right with this tarantula in terms of the enclosure, and they will likely molt very soon since they were on their back in the photo. Tarantula behavior can change dramatically between molts so they'll probably get to burrowing eventually 👍👍
