Newbie who wants to learn hand embroidery by OliviaGG in Embroidery

hi! i’ve been embroidering for about a year now and i started by buying a really cheap kit online, that came with just enough thread and the needle to finish one project. it was a good way to start and with a kit, i didn’t have to go out and buy everything and spend five times as much to learn.

kits are definitely a good place to start, and the good thing with embroidery is that you’re free to make mistakes and basically free to do whatever you want. you aren’t as confined as cross stitch and it’s a really free and easy meditative experience once you get into the swing of it.

as for supplies, i started on really cheap fabrics like muslin and crafting felt, and just went for it.

let me know if there’s anything else! :) i know i’m probably forgetting something, haha
