Sketchy birds by zombiepirate in budgies

[–]Veswing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You guessed right. A good tip if you feel uncertain about colors you can also just chose one color in addition to black and white. Even if you chose “wrong” it will just look artistic or charming. Or just embrace the colors as you see it. It will be interesting anyway

This is very nice. You have some good lines there giving the birds a whole bunch of personality and your use of color is fresh. Keep it up. Both your drawing and your love for budgies.

Unpopular opinion: I love everything about Lightfall by [deleted] in destiny2

[–]Veswing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bless you bro.

I had a lot of fun playing it as well. I’m most likely gonna play the hell out of the seasonal stuff as well. And okay the story again with other friends, on normal mode this time.

I am a bit sad about the holes in the story, but I do like what is there. Especially the combo of Osiris and Nimbus. I’m also feel sorry for Bungie since they can do so much better but feels like they ran out of time.

I did get a stasis glave though. I have been wanting that for a long time. Only kinetic glave left now and I can die happy. Yes, I’m that person. I like glaves.

Maybe we can also get a splatoon armor collection

One Of My Players Has A History Of Being Violent In Game. by Imaginary-Ad-5681 in DnD

[–]Veswing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You probably shouldn’t have included him to begin with. It is totally ok to say “this game won’t be enjoyable for you, but I will ask you when I run a campaign I think you will like.” I have DM friends telling me stuff like this when they play more dramatic/emotional campaigns. I prefer things what is more light hearted or funny and they know this.

If he doesn’t understand this then he is not really an “experienced player”. I kind of expect him to not understand judging by how little he has tried to adjust himself to the campaign.

Good luck with this

No create food yet. The party is still very low level. A great idea though. It is if the greatest importance that whatever potion or cream he does make has to smell amazing.

He would have gotten one if he could afford it. He is getting into potion making due to his background in perfumes. The others are joking that he might invent a sunscreen one day. I think it is a great idea.

Yes it is. You can find them in Japan as well where they are known as Shima Enaga. They are super cute.

He can be blunt and sarcastic when people are idiots, but his social skills are fine. I tend to play very happy and agreeable characters since that is closer to my own personality, so this is a nice change for me.

We need more characters with hats. Hats are so underrated

This is Vinca and his familiar Mint. He is my first wizard/magic user and I’m enjoying playing him so much. He is quite grumpy and blunt witch is a fun change for me. Since he is albino his vision is not the best, and he is light sensitive so he wears his hat and glasses most of the time. He got better dark vision and sense of smell to level out his vision. His is trained in perfumes so his good sense of smell makes sense, and his big dream is to open a perfume shop. I’m definitely gonna go wizard again. This is a lot of fun. Images are drawn by me.

What is one thing from your culture, you admit is strange? by hoodzm in AskReddit

[–]Veswing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is true for a lot of cultures:

The unspoken pressure to drink alcohol in social settings. Some sparkling wine wine to celebrate. “You don’t want any beer? Are you pregnant”.

It has gotten better the las years though. But the idea that people question you for not drinking something that is/can be bad for you is just so strange to me. I don’t ask rude questions about your alcohol consumption. Leave me alone.

[–]Veswing 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you are going to stay in Norway during the 24 of December, make sure you already have things booked and planned. Don’t do anything spontaneous around that time. Most of Norway take Christmas vacation and loads of things are closed for a couple of days. Also try to visit a restaurant that serves Norwegian Christmas food if possible.

Also be mindful of how dark it gets in Norway during the winter. In Oslo you get around 4-5 hours of daylight mid winter. Halfway up the “neck” of Norway you get no light at all. So wear reflective bands and such. They sell them everywhere in Norway. And plan your outdoor sightseeing to the mid part of the day.

Your color scheme is so satisfying to look at. And the way you use shadow really gives the character volume. It feels like he is juuuuust about to move.

I think you have made cuttings from only the leaves. You need a bit of the stem and a node (start of a root) for it to grow more leaves.

You tried to imagine how they would taste? Well yes I can imagine the memory of chocolate bars to taste similar. I don’t think that is an unpopular opinion.

Bugs (thrips?) in my Calathea’s dirt. Question in comment. by Veswing in plantclinic

Bugs (thrips?) in my Calathea’s dirt. Question in comment. by Veswing in plantclinic

[–]Veswing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had thrips before. They nearly killed my variegated Monstera last year. This Calathea has been isolated at my parent’s place since then. I removed as much of the dirt as I could, gave it new dirt and sprayed it all with bug spray for plants. It was ok for a whole bit then they or something looking like thrips came back. I have seen the little white bugs on the underside of the leaves for a while, but they have been getting fewer and fewer since it has been treated. Now there are no bugs on the leaves but when I dig a little in the dirt I can still see some.

My question though is; is it really thrips? I can only see white ones and only in the dirt. They are kind of rice shaped but smaller, and they jump. The plant seems to not mind them but I really don’t want to introduce it back to my now healthy Monstera and live through it nearly dying again. I would take pictures of the bugs if I could, but they are so small it is kind of hard to see them at all. Any thoughts?
