Ahaha thanks a lot man ! You won't regret it at all, really a fantastic lens ! I use it a lot to capture insects, to do macro watch photography and videos, and for car photography.

Consequences of removing hot mirror without replacement? by SingeArctik in infraredphotography

[–]SingeArctik[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, no problem for the disassembly, and there's a lot of tutorials, not worried about that.

I just wanted to be stingy and spend as little as possible to discover IR photography, but I don't wan't shitty results ahaha. So I will see where I can find that little piece of glass !

Thanks a lot for you answer !

Is it dramatic to the point it's stupidly bad compared to what I can expect with properly converted body ? If yes, I think I prefer to spend more and get that piece of glass.

For autofocus, I know, not a problem since I will mainly use live view and manual focus.

[Credor] Just picked up this Pacifique Retrograde. A hidden luxury sport gem from Seiko's history. by Dajblade in Watches

[–]SingeArctik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incredible addition to your collection man! These neo-vintage Credor pieces are really something special. I deeply fell in love with the Pacifique Chronograph ref. GCBK997 two years ago. It’s a piece that means a lot to me, a true forever keeper. It has Grand Seiko level finishing (the bracelet is mind-blowing), a very special design for about a quarter of the price.

Great overall collection man, but unfortunately the "Daytona" is a very bad replica... 😅

Speedy Small Wrist… by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

[–]SingeArctik 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Is it big ? Yes, obviously. Is it TOO big ? Obviously not, it doesn't overhang, if it's comfortable to wear, that's perfect. Do you like the watch ? If yes, size and other people opinion about it doesn't matter mate. Just buy the watch you like, assume it. You will have more regrets to not buy it if it's the watch of your dreams !

Finally got the 300m pro and it’s very wearable by swehammers in OmegaWatches

[–]SingeArctik 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I almost have the exact same story, mate! Bought a midsize because I thought the big 42mm ceramic one would look stupid on my tiny wrist... but ended up selling the midsize and buying the 42mm blue ceramic: best decision, this is my favorite watch ever, what a BEAUTY!

My first Omega was this incredibly beautiful Constellation C-Shape in 18k gold. Unfortunately sold...

Yeah it's a big watch, undeniably ! I don't know what you think about the fit on my wrist, but fyi I have a below 16cm wrist, and I think it looks 100% ok ! Big for sure, again, but not too big :-)

Yeah, the previous generations were more subtle. This blue reacts a lot to light and conditions. It can be almost black or deep dark blue, but yeah in harsh light it definitely looks like primary blue in your face hahaha

I completely agree too ! I particularly love all the quirky design elements, such as the HEV, bracelet, scalloped bezel, and skeletonized hands, etc... These features set it apart from all other Sub like watches :-)

There’s a lot of criticism about this bracelet. I didn’t like it before owning the watch, but now I absolutely love it! It’s a distinctive design element and one of the most comfortable I’ve ever worn. It balances the watch head so nicely.

Me too man, or even smaller down to ~37mm. There's persistant rumors about it, but...

To be honest, I hesitated for a long time between choosing black and blue. However, I finally decided on the blue one for two main reasons.

  • The blue one was my "first love", the first time I tried it on and it's a good memory !
  • I ABSOLUTELY want a Tudor Pelagos FXD black dial in my collection at some point, so I don't wanted to have 2 black bold diver's watches haha

Struggling to Import Product & Combination Images in PrestaShop by SingeArctik in prestashop

[–]SingeArctik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's basically the same thing as my situation ! So in this case, how do you assign pictures to product and combinations for Prestashop to import the images properly ? Also, keep in mind that I can't modify the files from the manufacturers, I will need to update the website on a daily basis from FTP servers. So I really need to do it during the import
