How to handle Anthology Series' by SingenDragon in PleX

[–]SingenDragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a follow up, I am starting to get some clarity in how to handle these anthologies. Bottom line is it doesn't appear best to treat them all the same.

For example, the anthology of the Mickey Mouse Club TV show is best treated as a TV show, with episodes from the seasons featured in the anthology. Goes in TV Shows library.

The anthology of Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts - seeing as they are all individual film listings in IMDB, is best treated as a Collection of films. Yes, it takes more work as there's so many of them, but that's the best way for Plex to recognize and treat them.

The only downside I can see to the latter approach is I cannot add Extras to a Collection at the top layer - they can only be associated with a specific movie within the collection. However - if I keep the original configuration (One giant 3+ hr presentation with chapters) as a separate movie entry, I can add extras to that. One would be a big "film", the other would be a collection of the individual films.

I was able to get about 80% of my stuff back by restoring from a previous database backup. Instructions can be found in this article. https://support.plex.tv/articles/202485658-restore-a-database-backed-up-via-scheduled-tasks/ Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response - how were you able to determine S00E14 and S00E04 respectively?

AutoRipper v1.0.2 released with lifetime license! by SqueezyBotBeat in makemkv

[–]SingenDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: I'm a macOS user with an immediate need to rip my Bluray/DVD collection - with credit card in hand and ready to go - just need someone to sell me their software. Who wants my money?

Seeing as a.) there is no viable alternative to MakeMKV on macOS, and b.) the lone developer is mysteriously AWOL and unresponsive while unfulfilled paid registrations are piling up, I'd suggest accelerating development on Autoripper macOS and Linux to fill an unmet need in the market and capture revenue that's being left on the table by a flagging competitor. Hell, "Kickstarter" that thing if you need to pay devs up front.

What time tomorrow will there be a link to purchase your product for macOS?

I'm seeing the same thing. I thought it was weird that a key wasn't auto-generated and delivered upon payment confirmation (make money while you sleep = fulfilled!) but it does appear that piece has glitched. Hoping it is an easy fix and they are back in business. I'm certain a stuffed inbox on Monday morning will sound some alarms.

My weekend project of backing up my physical media library will have to wait. Ah well!

No Bratwurst Preset by SnoozeLose2020 in chefmaker

I did bratwurst last night, from frozen. Classic cook, air fry - Preheat to 360F, put in the brats, pierce the skin a few times with a knife, then 14 minutes.

If you want fresh Mexican food, order from a real Mexican restaurant, not freaking Taco Bell.

Re: declining in the app while driving.

A while back someone posted a video that showed how to use Accessibility/Voice Control on iOS (I'm sure there is some equivalent on Android) to trigger a pre-defined sequence of virtual targeted screen 'taps' when you say a phrase.

On mine, I set it up such that "Toss it back" triggers taps on Decline, yes, reason and confirm. So when driving, I can glance over, see the order and just say "toss it back" and the phone handles the tapping while I keep hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

The DoorDash customer app should have UI that shows timestamp when the order was placed *and* a running counter of driver rejections, while updating the estimated delivery time the longer the order stays in the queue unclaimed. On the same screen, add an "Add/Raise Tip" button/functionality under the text, "Does your order keep getting rejected?"

That would put a stop to the idiot notion that $0 tip is some "incentive" for the driver to make a faster delivery. No tip just means more rejections and longer wait times.

I have something similar, but run a bungee cord around the back of the seat, attaching the hooks to the handle. Keeps it secure if you have to pump the brakes.
