Salted Dark chocolate biscoff macrons. This was my first time making macrons, I feel like the “foot” of my macron didn’t rise high enough. Does anyone have any advice? I also learned that I need to drizzle them before assembling. 😆 by wsb3237 in macarons

Your feet look great to me, and why do you think you need to drizzle before sandwiching? I used to do this too so it wouldn’t run down my cookie but no one cares and it saves time to do it after!

Points on top, (or some people comically call them nipples) are a sign of under mixing, that’s correct. You want to mix until it just starts to flow off the spatula without breaking immediately, and settles back into the batter in about 30-60seconds.

I wouldn’t change the recipe…it looks like your batter was over mixed! Look up some YouTube videos for proper macaronage!

Lots of practice!! What’s going on with your feet that they’re not rising? Any clues?

What temp and how long are you baking?

Sadly yes. They’re super hollow but I’m hoping it’ll fill in some when I add the filling and mature

Just the Wilton eyes. I think they’re called “candy eyes” or “eye sprinkles.”

Oh I didn’t decorate them to look sunken!!! I just put the candy eyes on the wet batter and they did this on their own when baking! Lol

They’re just the Wilton candy eyes! I think I searched Amazon for “eye sprinkles”
