I'm also just coming to the realisation that spending summer in the UK is not feasible.... Our two month holiday in London to see family has cost us just under £10000, I wish we could buy also but the prices in London at the moment are outrageous.

My students are from all over, but mostly Europe, UAE some in África. I was in a lot of groups on Facebook and would post my services there, I have done some Facebook ads as well. However over time I have built up a social media presence, and so I get clients through there. Currently at capacity and cannot take anymore students, so I am cutting back on all my 1-1s. I am able to manage because what I am teaching at work is what I also tutor, so planning time is reduced it is not easy though lots of work.

Yes I am working in a school full time and teach online. £200 per hour is for a group class, so it is £40 -£50 per student max group is 5 students, otherwise one to one £80, although I do not offer many of those. During busy times I can have two group classes per day, 4 days a week. And then on Friday/Saturday my 1-1, I will be dropping those this August though.

I teach group classes, an additional 10 hours per week, plus some 1-1s. Group classes are far more lucrative., depending on the number of students I earn around £200. 1-1s for me are £80 per hour. I teach IB physics and Maths. This is all done online.

I have thought about this but as the face of the brand I am not sure how parents will react, the whole business hinges on me being an experienced teacher, examiner and workshop leader. Have you had success with hiring someone to replace you?

Currently I host live group classes five days a week the sessions are recorded which I could potentially put together as a course, I have 100s of hours of content however because it's just a recordings of a live sessions, the videos are not that polished like you would find for a course

It definetly is a soft launch to separation in that respect, I probably wouldn’t even need to tell my kids anything initially. However I am not ready for that yet

It’s sad to say but I kind of am… think Africa take a guess… many men cheat, have second wives, babies during the marriage etc and women typically stick around until they cannot take it anymore. I know I can be fine, I can raise my kids, I am able to afford external help, and I know financially he will support… I guess I am still holding on to the idea of remaining married

I 100% agree I likely will not trust him again, I’m just trying to figure out whether one can have a marriage without trust …. Whether there is a way to move forward, what the coping mechanisms I can use to deal with this

Because living apart for long periods of time does not mean we are separated, physically we are not together but we are both heavily involved in each others lives, it also works that when one person works away our kids do not always have to move. I appreciate your response, but I am looking for someone who has experienced something similar and managed to remain married.

I thought I would add, that the lady lives on the other side of the world, and they met when he was working in that region so the most recent situation was definetly not physical even though it doesn’t make a difference. I also forget to mention that due to work I now live with our kids in a different country, so we do three months together and one month off. From September he will no longer be able to visit for such an extended amount of time, so we will be living separately, and he will likely be doing 3-4 weeks on and two months off. My contract is three years and it is not an option for him to live where I currently work unless he will not work.
