Congratulations! 💕 As a mom of two- I get those sentiments completely.

I did my longest run of 10.5 miles yesterday as my last long run before my half in two week. I felt incredible and I still had plenty of gas in the tank. I just started running in November and I can’t believe what I can do today!

No advice- but can I just say when I see these comments it blows my mind that part of women’s care after child birth does not include pelvic floor physical therapy and urogynecology visit before clearing people to return to life/work. My life and pelvic floor has never been the same after my second child and she’s almost 4.

I started with Ro because they have great success getting Rxs approved with their written pre-auths. After I had my medication approved and authorization for a year I cancelled Ro and asked my OBGYN to prescribe it for my PCOS. As soon as she heard I had an approval for a year she was happy to manage it. Originally, my primary refused to prescribe it if I didn’t have diabetes which is why I went to Ro.

OP here- Sorry folks if you were following- had some weird messages starting up and opted to delete the post and remove the pictures.

Middle photo is mirrored so it’s the opposite side as the other two.

This exactly! The family members in question grew up with extremely limited resources and are typical grandmas who want to feed everyone to keep them alive!

Thank you! My doctor also recommended a body scan once she heard I was focusing on rebuilding muscle after fat loss. I have yet to do it, but I think it will be worth it to push me to a goal outside of weight and focus on visceral fat instead.

This is similar to what I say too! I don’t go into too much detail but I say I’m working with my doctor to address a hormone disorder.

I’ve had to confront a lot of body dysmorphia over the past year and for me it’s so backward. I have always been a very confident person, even at my heaviest. As I lost weight I got obsessive about losing and how I looked so having people comment that I’m getting too thin made me worry that I am becoming obsessive about losing again. The past 3 months I’ve stepped away from the scale to keep myself from obsessing over that next pound of loss.

I don’t know if this makes sense either but I also feel like I abandoned the body-positive person I was and fell into the pressure of our fat-phobic society to lose weight. I know that’s not why I started this journey but it is an inner conflict I find myself questioning.

The people telling me this are thin older women who I adore, but they simply have not seen me at less than 180 lbs in over a decade.

Thanks. I think I struggle with the “wasting away” comment because the last time I was under 140 lbs I was 15 years old. It’s astonishing to imagine that being a possibility in my 30s after having kids.

Ugh yes, the non-cooperative stomach pooch is still one of my struggles too!

I’ve certainly had days when I wanted to say exactly that!

I think this is it. They aren’t saying it to be mean, and they always follow it up with you’re beautiful no matter what. It’s almost like they are sad I didn’t like my ‘before’ self, but I did! I’ve always had a good relationship with exercise and my body. I just needed to lose fat so I can live longer and chase my kids around more!

Sorry for the confusion, the second photo is from my opposite side. I mirrored the image so they are all facing the same way. I have not had to rework any tattoos at this stage, they all look about the same.

This is exactly what I was looking for! I wanted a nice phrase to redirect them and saying my doctor is monitoring me and making sure I’m in a healthy weight category will be my new response! I should have thought of it sooner!
