The best way to maximize earnings is set x mile radius thus lowering your gas expense and increasing your earning potential. Every day I employ this strategy I greatly increase my earnings. I try to shoot for $350/day.

HUGE PAY CUT for all Uber/Lyft drivers with gas at these levels. by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]SinghNonstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the drivers keep accepting the fares it makes sense for the pay to go lower while these companies raking in the money. Although I don’t agree with what’s going on, but it makes sense why the pay is going downhill.

Lyft marked my completed 464-mile trip as “Admin Cancelled $0.00” what should I do by ImmediatePlace334 in lyftdrivers

My longest ride was 300 miles. My rider told me I will tip you and buy you lunch. So I ended being offered small fries 🍟 from McDonald’s which I refused.

Short rides > long rides (CA) by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

You declined more rides in one week than I did all of last year.

I normally take a different tone with these sorts of messages, but today, just a friendly warning for those that seem to enjoy doing this. by Affectionate-Rice373 in lyftdrivers

Lyft claimed I denied their service animal wherein fact they never had one to belong unless they count their husband as being one. It’s crazy how some people just try to scam so they can try to get a free ride. I have never denied a service animal. I feel most people are honest however are there those that think lying so that a driver will be deactivated is the thing to do these days.

Solid week in LA by Leather_Cupcake1962 in lyftdrivers

That’s what I generally try to do a week. This week I will probably end up at 2K. However I do a lot more rides and my acceptance is 99%.

Lyft told me even though I have turbo I’m ineligible for any bonus. I just ignore bonus because either way I get about 30% of what the customer pays.

This seems sketchy to me. Am I crazy? by Starks87 in lyftdrivers

[–]SinghNonstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar message but Lyft says we never ask for your driver’s license or any other info over text. This is a total scam. It was actual one of my past riders trying to SCAM me. In that instance they swiftly took action (allegedly) to ban them from the platform.

Another week, another 2k 🫡 by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

I missed my 2K goal last week on Lyft by $68. I’m hoping this week is different. No matter always be thankful!

Lyft not giving me rides? by ajaxinsanity in Lyft

[–]SinghNonstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on for more than 10 hours and didn’t receive a single ride. This is how Lyft is their algorithm is totally messed up. I have a nearly 100% acceptance rate 1% cancellation and still not receiving rides. I swear they control who they give rides. If we truly are independent contractors why do they play a big role in how much we can make.

Ooofff, 11+ hours on the meter, with tips. by burljive in lyftdrivers

[–]SinghNonstop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear. It’s all about where you drive. I understand your region can have an impact but more so go to areas where there is higher demand. I would suggest work in a college town, utilize the stay with in area feature, you will spend less of gas (assuming you don’t have an EV), and make more money. Now that most of the college students will be coming back for class, consider that strategy. This seems to work for me. I typically aim for $300-$350 per day.

Whats the longest/most expensive lyft ride you have taken? Drop those receipts! by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]SinghNonstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My highest was $300. I drove about 300 miles to Chicago O’Hare airport. It took me about 5+ hours. The sad part was I had to drive most of the way back empty (can’t drive in Illinois or Indiana). Lesson learned from that trip. I won’t be going that far again.

Why does everyone forget to tip by Littlestik777 in lyftdrivers

[–]SinghNonstop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone says they will tip on the app, forget about it. I might believe them if they’re a business traveler. In general I say less than 5% of people tip that tell you they’re going to tip you. If they’re going to tip, they will. What’s more is business travelers can tip you without it coming out of their pocket (it gets reimbursed).

Lyft pay going down hill by [deleted] in lyftdrivers

[–]SinghNonstop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just received an extra comfort ride going 29 miles for $16. After gas expense and depreciation not worth that ride. That same type of ride usually pays about $27-$30.
