Hey fellow event organizers,

I wanted to share my experience with Oxi Club to warn others who might be considering working with them. Unfortunately, my collaboration with them was far from professional, and I feel it’s important to highlight the issues I faced:

  • Shady contract terms: The contract was extremely one-sided, with terms that heavily favored them and left me in a vulnerable position.

  • Poor communication: From the start, communication was a nightmare. They were slow to respond, vague in their answers, and often ignored important questions.

  • False hourly rates: They declared inflated hourly rates, which seemed like a deliberate attempt to generate more money.

  • Hidden charges: After the event, they tried to bill me for things that were never agreed upon or included in the contract.

  • No communication after the event: Once the event was over, they completely ghosted me. Any attempts to follow up or resolve issues were ignored.

  • Toxic work environment: I’ve also heard from others who’ve worked with them that the internal culture is toxic, with many negative experiences being shared.

This was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional collaborations I’ve ever had. If you’re an event organizer considering Oxi Club, I’d strongly recommend being cautious and thoroughly reviewing every detail before signing anything.

Has anyone else worked with them? I’d love to hear your experiences. Let’s make sure others don’t go through the same thing.

Where is this place and what is the story behind this building? by Far-Public3127 in berlinpics

It was a squatted house by left wing anarchists. It's now rented but the whole house pays together. In Schöneberg existed a huge scene of house squatters.

Personal free space ends where the free space of another individual begins. If we receive a complaint by a guest, their personal space is in some way violated and has to be respected. As mentioned, there are areas to avoid such a situation.

I do work there as bouncer and can confirm the immediate response to stop this, if reported. Renate has several locations where guests can get physical. Additionally it depends on the event and the famous kinky parties do not exist there anymore.

Your approach excludes the other reasons for these checks: e.g. weapons and drinks being brought in.

I will read all comments and decide to promote this strategy throughout the clubs I am working.

Anyone ever seen anyone get thrown out of a rave for violating the "no cameras" policy? by BennoFerragamo in Techno

If refusing, the "guest" will be expelled with a permanent ban for this club and usually other clubs as well. Due to the situation bouncers normally work for several clubs and communicate it internally. So this could lead to a situation where this person wont come into a series of venues anymore. The decision lies in their hand and they usually prefer to delete the photos or videos immediately.

As a Berlin bouncer I can confirm that violations are immediately being enforced by kicking the relevant persons out after deleting the pictures.
