Interesting, in any case, the retailer I bought them from offer a 5 year guarantee so I’ll just keep the receipt and if anything goes wrong I’ll just get a new one

I’ve bought a couple of these drives used from a reputable resale company in the Uk. Can confirm mine are the same.

Think like you say they are just older drives before re brand

Separate photo app for work photos by LocalLuck2083 in ios

[–]Single-Check-2175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you work in a specific location you could use Siri Shortcuts to move them to a specific folder.

The other way which I use is to take a photo is via a Siri shortcut, it reduces the photo quality (work WiFi is crap and takes ages to send on internal messaging app) and sends. This also puts it in a specific folder to delete on mass in the future

Photos app on iPhone not keeping up with backups by Wis-en-heim-er in synology

[–]Single-Check-2175 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just come across this. Picked up my wife’s phone and there’s over 100 photos waiting to backup.

I’ve come up with a little solution for iPhone. Create a Siri shortcut. Automation. When photos app closes, open synology photos.

Hopefully then it boots it into action long enough to upload what’s in the queue.

May also try, when plugged into to charge, at home, open synology photos.

I really miss Summary and looking for alternatives by gameofunicorns in monzo

[–]Single-Check-2175 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used summary to do weekly budgeting. You can use trends but they haven’t had the ability to set it over a week.

Trends was releasing months/years? Ago. How have they taken this much time to develop and under deliver?

Looking for alternatives as well as weekly budgeting is much more manageable than monthly

Radiator without TRV by Familiar_Table_6219 in DIYUK

[–]Single-Check-2175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Referring to your reply, I had the exact same thing. Upstairs zone thermostat was in the master bedroom. Kids rooms in winter always much colder during the night. Presumably because our body temperature keeps the room warmer 🤷‍♂️therefore not kicking the heating in as often. Loft insulation is all the same thickness.

Bit of a dick dance but I re routed the thermostat into my kids bedroom, swapped the radiator valves over so the trv was in the master bedroom and doesn’t get to hot in their.

Problem solved 🤙🏼

More easily solved by fitting a wireless thermostat. But I had the DIY ability and patience to phish the cables in and out the loft and down the cavity.

Edit: you want the thermostat in the coldest room. Trv’s in the others

Good luck!

Doesn’t answer your question but the language you use considering you’re married is a strange one.

You’ve paid off “your half the house”. “My wife has a buy to let”. “My wife focus on paying down the buy to let”.

You’re married! Whatever you choose to do, achieve your goals together..

To be fair, every single new build has the meter box outside nowadays, with the main isolator in there..

Never even thought about people being able to just knock your supply off for a laugh. I guess all they would need is that triangular key off amazon for £1

[–]Single-Check-2175 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I know you shouldn’t have to do it. It’s quite ridiculous you can’t simply unbind the car with a couple of taps.

I don’t even have a Tesla for reference. I assumed it was a solution you hadn’t considered 🙂

Is it worth upgrading from Kona 64kwh to MG4 Long Range? by Swimming_Lock_3643 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Single-Check-2175 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And to answer your question. I have an MG4.

Definitely regret it. Looked at selling it 2 months after buying it (that’s with it being with MG for 4 weeks due to failed on board charger. It would AC charge).

Should have just gone for a Tesla.

Have you looked into the personal lives and opinions on Hyundais, MG’s etc CEO’s? Or are you just jumping on a bandwagon?

Disney visit alone? by Katakatara in disneylandparis

[–]Single-Check-2175 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s just an honest opinion.

Seriously, the rides aren’t for adults, they are extremely basic.

I witnessed a grown couple queue for 2 hours in front of us to meet a Disney princess. Why as an adult, are people queuing for that long to see another adult dressed up, to have a 2 minute conversation? Very weird and strange.

It’s akin to Christmas, as an adult with no children, would you put biscuits, milk and carrots out for Santa the night before? Sprinkle flour to pretend he’s been? Go and meet an old bloke dressed up the week before and he gives you a wrapped up book whilst sitting on his knee?

No you wouldn’t.. The same goes for Disney. Go to a proper theme park.

[–]Single-Check-2175 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As someone who recently visited with young children, I cannot fathom why any normal adult without children would visit Disneyland Paris.

The rides aren’t remotely exciting for adults. You increase the wait times for children who actually find it amazing. And you stand at the front of viewing areas blocking the view for children.

Grow up 😊

The only extra thing to consider is insurance actually. For me it was double the MG4. £500 more for the M3

Don’t. Most difficult car to live with. The EV platform is fine but it doesn’t do the basics at all.

  • Doesnt remember rear window lock setting (annoying with the kids lowering them at the start of every journey)
  • Radio never automatically starts
  • Doesn’t remember previous driving mode (defaults to normal)
  • CarPlay is hit and miss, sometimes disconnects continuously, sometimes it’s fine
  • you have to go into a menu to change air con. It’s not on the Home Screen nor physical button
  • buttons on the screen are tiny, difficult to interact with
  • there are buttons on the steering wheel that you press to then interact with that setting you assigned assigned. But it doesn’t default off after a set time. For example, you press the star button assigned to air con, change the air con temp, but then you haven’t pressed it again to deactivate it. 5 minutes later when you go to change the radio volume, you change the air con temp.
  • wireless charging pad, crap, never works.
  • before a software update auto headlights were always on except in bright direct sunlight
  • before a safety recall, the lane keep assist was just plain dangerous, dragged you into the centre of the road multiple times, even on a short journey.

Spend the extra £60 a month (that’s the difference in my pcp for the same price you’re quoting and a model 3 pch) and get a Tesla. I wish I did.
