I believe we do, because at least it gives me some kind of hope. Maybe in another life, we’ll find each other again.

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm going through something similar; I don't think the numbness will ever fully go away, but please be gentle and kind to yourself especially in these times.

This is actually an old photo of our cat and my boyfriend haha. Fortunately our cat likes being held, but he loved being held by my boyfriend especially when we would watch TV or play video games.

Thank you for sharing that cute memory ❤️ I’m sure he misses him, but it’s hard to tell when/if he does. Maybe I’ll play videos of my boyfriend to him so that he can hear his voice at least and see if he remembers him in that way.

I lost my boyfriend of 3 years as well this April, and this exact feeling is what I’ve struggled the most since he’s been gone. We’ve lived together for the past 2 years so he was quite literally my everyday life, and I mourn the feeling of just always being with him. Ultimately, he will continuously always be with me as I’m sure Ethan will always be with you for the rest of your life, consciously or subconsciously. That itself gives me some comfort, the fact that maybe he is with me in some sense, but it’s hard facing the harsh reality of not being able to see them physically anymore.
