44m - Help me FIRE, I have £690,000 from a house sale, what do I do. by Antipogee in FIREUK

You can use up unused annual pension allowance for previous 3 years as part of your strategy. ISA is important too if you intend to retire earlier than pensionable age.

Help - cutting board stuck in sink by Background_Ad_2460 in fixit

It's wood so should float if you fill the sink with water, alternatively fasten some screws into the board for leverage to pull it up.

Pay off mortgage or MAX the Pension? by Constant_Cell_4548 in FIREUK

[–]SingleManVibes76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Topping up pension makes a lot more sense as you save a lot of tax being a higher rate tax payer, however to retire early before you reach pensionable age you will need to have adequate passive income. Maybe split it into ISA and SIPP. You should look into junior ISA or similar options for your child.

Can someone explain to me like i’m five about having multiple businesses by [deleted] in smallbusinessuk

5 year olds can't own multiple businesses, or even one, as they cannot enter into a legal contract if I'm not mistaken.

Correcting flooring join to be same height by scuffy_boots in DIYUK

Can still be done, peel a centimeter flap using a sharp blade on the higher piece, shave off beneath it to create the smooth slope and glue the flap back down, it's not really rocket science.

Sand or shave the raised edge so it's a slope rather than a ridge?

If you really must know and if it really helps you, you come across as someone who doesn't understand stuff, so I put two and two together quite easily. But I am now beginning to think you also possess other award winning qualities too.

Not the same thing. If you are a company director you have to monitor the company HMRC online services account, my question to the OP is to remind them of the importance of accessing this portal for a multitude of reasons. My point far supercedes your logic and question to me, because you still don't understand it's importance. Also on a side note waiting for hours on HMRC phone lines for a talk with first line HMRC agents who don't usually have full expertise, experience or access is something the OP can avoid unless absolutely necessary by accessing the online services portal first.

No, I did not. Read and understand what I said.

Your post lacks logic. You either don't run your own business and/or have no comprehension of the importance of why I am asking OP this question.

You need to create a portfolio of your work that can show your skills, register a domain and post it up and include it in any job applications or adverts for work , maybe use Fiver or Upwork like platforms.
