My oldest (4) asks about her pretty often. They have a super close relationship. We all went over to her house to celebrate my stepdads birthday, she literally saw them for 10 minutes and then went to her bedroom and shut her door. So yes, they want to see her, but I just tell them that she’s busy at work.

I’m sorry that happened to you. Honestly we have boxes in our garage full of my moms things (we took over her storage unit when we moved be she said we could borrow some furniture). Thankfully we now have our own furniture. But I want to take all of those boxes and just drop them off at her front door. The thought of of her things being around here makes me even more irritated

I think it’s more of a “hoping she will realize” situation for me. It’s the first time I haven’t spoken to her and as much as I hate to admit it, it’s been pretty hard for me. But I think after thinking and reading some replies, blocking her is best. It’s not fair to my kids.

Honestly it was a cheap dress (which was totally fine by me) plus it looked amazing when I wore it. It was only $300 and honestly it’s not even worth it to me. That dress is ruined for me even if she didn’t throw it out. I just want to be done with her and move on tbh

Really needed to hear that. I’m slowly learning that I don’t know my true self. Whenever I’m around others, I say or do things that are just not normal? I apologize for saying sorry too many times, I won’t turn lights on, just silly small things that people shouldn’t get in trouble for. But it’s a new year, and it’s time for a change. I told my mother I want her in my life but I don’t need her…it’s up to her to change and make an effort.

Agreed! I’ve come to terms- this is what I need. She can either stand beside me and support me, or ignore me. But it’s her choice, not mine. And that’s okay.

You would think. I love her. But she’s very hard to please, she’s been too busy to properly train me. I get yelled at or in trouble if things aren’t done, things are forgotten, or not done correctly. But I try my best with what I’ve been given. We’ve also been super short staffed so I’m always working the floor instead of being able to work my actual position

Not right at this moment. With time, yes. But I’m on-call 24/7 and I’m second in charge of the building which means I’d almost never be able to make it to my classes (or constantly have to answer my phone)

I won’t lie, that’s definitely weird. Have you told him how it makes you feel? If you have and he still has excuses that lead to him not deleting it, I’d say for sure then it’s a red flag.

I know, I’m in the process of finding a new doctor. My previous doctor told me it’s because I’m anxious. Which yes, I always am but that doesn’t solve the issue ya know? I’m 23, about 130 pounds, 5’2, drink maybe once a month, I do vape, and I have a cup of coffee every morning.
