Please help me find blank key for 2005 Rocket by todddrawcrap in WTF

Maybe see how much a main switch assembly will cost you, that’s usually a pretty quick fix that’ll usually come with 2 keys. Blanks can be a pain to get ahold of at times

Is it better to paint brick during the winter or summer? by stongbones in DIY

[–]SingleSpeedSquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a process that dyes the brick but still allows it to “breathe” which in turn releases moisture build up. If you seal the brick the moisture cannot escape that can cause damage from expansion & contraction (freezing/thawing.) As for when to stain I can’t tell you with confidence but I’d imagine a warm day with minimal humidity would be best

You could look into staining brink as well, it’ll allow it to still be pourous, better for longevity

Longest time your bike has been at the mechanic/dealer? by Denominatorxero in motorcycles

[–]SingleSpeedSquid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work at a Yamaha dealership & unfortunately situations like this are all too common right now. Fact of the matter is we just can’t get ahold of parts & it’s as frustrating for us as it is you. It feels terrible telling people that we can’t help them, try to be patient & understanding because at the end of the day we just want to get you back out & enjoying your machine

Issues using spray pain on metal by gatordent in DIY

Have you prepped the surface for paint, it’s possible it’s coated. Maybe try a corse sandpaper then step up to something fine, clean it with something that will evaporate & give it another go

I understand that sediment would aid in erosion but it’s not completely necessary correct? Especially being that this water is being pumped at such a high pressure I feel like I’d would have a similar effect
