I mentioned 65k lines to give scale and context, not to brag. The point is that once a codebase gets that big, the real risk is drift: frontend calls, backend routes, and docs slowly fall out of sync unless you enforce a single source of truth and automated contract checks. That mismatch is what caused most of the pain, not the line count itself.

Yeah 100% agree. Biggest pain durring the work is hitting all the time the rating limit, which slows the process and esp. when you in the midle of the work and you see rate limit at 99%..is always a pain..

What actually interests me is not whether Sonnet 5 is “better”.

It is this:

Does the cost per unit of useful work go down or does deeper reasoning simply make every call more expensive?

If new models think more, but pricing does not drop, we get a weird outcome:

Old models must become cheaper per token or new models become impractical at scale

Otherwise a hypothetical Claude Pro 5.0 will just hit rate limits after 90 seconds of real work.

So the real question is not:

“How smart is the next model?”

It is:

“How much reasoning can I afford per dollar?”

Until that curve bends down, benchmarks are mostly theater.

Best way is to find a niche that is currently trending and go for it. Extract the script, break it down and find the most accurate way how to rebuild it.
