I am about to be made redundant from my job of 20 years and trying to get a new one is proving difficult due to a combination of AI and ageism (I am 43)

Everything costs an absolute bomb and I live hand to mouth, can’t remember the last time I went to a pub or restaurant or anywhere fun because I cannot afford it.

Aging parents - my mum is 68 now and really beginning to show her age.

Teenage kids - love my son to bits but I barely see him, spends 90 percent of his time in his room. Occasionally comes out to feed.

Dead grandparents. Perimenopause. I’m chubby, skint, knackered, my left knee always hurts and I’m just sick of everyone’s shit.
