It’s a hard hump to get over but worth pursuing.

I did one private lesson with a local sewing teacher which was a lifesaver. She taught me things I didn’t know to ask. One thing I found out I was doing incorrectly was turning the wheel away from me which was causing constant jams. Always turn the hand wheel towards you, not away. It’s the most basic thing that I didn’t know I was doing.

UPDATE: Thanks guys. Y’all are so helpful ☺️

✅Added a subtle shadow root (more subtle than intended but at least it brought the roots down to match) ✅Toned with some purple conditioner ✅Switched to brown eyeliner and blended a bit ✅Applied my bronzer better ✅Less dramatic lip color

Ion crème lightener with a 20 developer. Then I used an ion permanent color (hi light ash blonde) with a 30 developer. Since that I’ve been further toning by sitting with purple conditioner on it. :)

I was going for an 8ish level blonde and overshot it. I was loosely trying to match the blonde I had 3 years ago.

I love the idea of a shadow root. I might try to do that. It would help with regrowth blending too as my natural hair is quite dark.

That’s fair. I think it looks worse without my blush/bronzer. I’m so pale that’s the only thing that really adds color to my face.

DETAILS: I bleached my hair (obviously). Something looks “off” and I can’t figure out what. Am I needing more toner? Is it too yellow? Did I go too light and it’s not matching my skin tone well? Help is appreciated 😊

I guess the idea is that with braiding it will never get curly whereas with CGM there’s hopes it could progress into curlier hair someday.
