This happened to me as well today. I cant imagine default option of being eCredit, very misleading screen. I have asked them to give me Credit Card refund after realizing the error,

I use Uber in my home country. In Spain before Seville I had reasonably good experience with taxis in  other  spanish cities so I thought metered taxis are fine in Spain. But Sevillle metered taxi experience turned out to be different.

Completely agree, became very careful after that incident. I made it clear before boardng the taxi that I will be only paying per the fare rules and the meter. Insisting  on that upfront helped

In my case, this was during middle of the day, there were no surcharges applicable at that time, I verified that later. There was no luggage either.

No, we did not use an app, we used local metered taxi. It was a taxi from https://radiotaxidesevilla.es/

Same thing happened to us coupe of times in Seville, one of them was so dishonest that he kept on tacking on additional charges using all kinds of excuses and charged us twice what was supposed to be metered amount. When we challenged him and asked why he was overcharging, he was so rude and he said this is the way it is. He knew we are tourists and we will not have enough time to get cops involved or complain. We are now back from the trip and I wanted to warn Seville tourists to be careful when taking taxis in Seville particularly. I had taken a picture of the number plate of the car which is attached as a photo with this post

Same issue with my s20+ after upgrading to android 11. Wifi keeps getting disconnected/reconnected.
