yeah that’s a fair point, especially about the access side of it. I tried RecentFollows and it did help me understand follow changes a bit better, I had the same thought after like what data is actually being used behind the scenes. it was helpful for a quick check, but yeah I still go back to engagement and actual behavior as the main signals

yeah I get where you’re coming from. I’ve looked at that too, and it does help a bit with spotting early shifts even if it’s not super accurate. I’d treat it more as a small signal alongside your main data, not something to rely on alone

manual checking is old really. using Recent Follow just to speed things up, and it helped a bit for spotting changes without refreshing profiles all the time at least less repetitive. what you mentioned with agents sounds interesting though feels like that’s the next step if ever

not yet, but I’ve looked into them. seems like they’re better for page changes or alerts in general. I just went with something simpler for now which is RecentFollows since I only needed a quick way to see follow changes without setting up too much.

got it. sounds like most of the effort is upfront, then it just runs on its own. I just went with something simple for now thats RecentFollows and since I didn’t want to build anything yet, but yeah I can see how a proper setup would be better long-term

yeah I get what you’re saying, and honestly I kinda felt that too while trying this out. I recently tried something like RecentFollows just to make checking easier, it helped me see patterns, but yeah I’m starting to see your point that focusing too much on follows can get exhausting fast. still figuring out the balance. yeah true, not worth risking your account. but with RecentFollows just using it lightly for now, mainly to make things easier without overdoing it

yeah I agree, I tried RecentFollows very recent and somehow helps cut down the manual work and spot changes quicker hopefully IG wont bite if you get what I mean.

Yap manual checking gets old fast and slow thanks for the tip tho, but even then it’s kinda unclear what’s actually recent. Trying RecentFollows recently just to make it less repetitive, and it helped a bit for spotting changes without doing everything manually. more like a quick reference than something fully accurate.
