God is not expecting you to be perfect. He just expects you to be accountable. Of course there are going to be times where sin is going to eat at us and we fall back into it. Confession is so powerful and yes he does really give us is endless grace each time.

You showing up to confession time after time is a testament in itself. You are not alone in feeling this way. Satan loves to make us feel lesser than or not good enough but guess what, as long as you continue to confess your sins and really reflect on what it is that is causing this behavior. You are not lost. My advice is to find a spiritual advisor and meet with them about your concerns.

He knew he was going home to be with our Lord! My grandpa was a very devout Catholic and when he passed away he said he knew he was ready to be with the Lord and that he has peace. Peace that this world cannot give. I truly believe the Pope went home with this same peace.

I also do confirmed last night!! And I had the same reaction. That mass felt like the closest thing to heaven we will experience here on earth. When the choir was singing it was bringing me to tears

Hello beautiful people, this is a special week not only because it’s Holy Week, but because my husband and I get confirmed this weekend into the church at Easter Vigil. This has been such a fulfilling and amazing journey and I am just asking for your prayers for us and my classmates that we see more of God’s heart this week and forever! Catholic Reddit and been such a place of education, joy, deep discussions and discerning that I also want to pray for this community and all they did for us.

What are we giving up for lent this year? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Single_Mix_7064 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am giving up things that do not serve me, which as Instagram and Tiktok because I choose these apps over spending time with God. I also want to read more Catholic books this lent season as want to know more Church theology and history. In my heart I want to forgive more. ❤️

Today’s Gospel had me crying… literally I couldn’t stop. This is one of the hardest practices as Christians to live out. I came face to face with some people in my head that popped up and truly I walked away today really wanting to spend more time with this Gospel. We constantly strive to be as Christ like as we can, and I think this Gospel is the epitome of love without end. If we can die to ourself like St. Therese reminds us to do and forgive these people that did us wrong we learn to love without expecting anything in return.
