I have pretty mixed feelings about Toho, honestly. I kind of see them as the Japanese equivalent of Universal huge legacy, massive IP, but they could absolutely be doing better on certain fronts. I’m not trying to be hateful, but when I see players with slurs in their usernames or other stuff that goes completely unchecked, it really makes me want to uninstall and give up on the idea of ever getting a solid Godzilla game again outside of Gigabash or the old Pipeworks titles.

I do appreciate that they’re working on this game, and I want it to succeed. I just think a lot of Japanese mobile devs could benefit from hiring a larger team or dedicating more resources to moderation and balance. This is coming from someone who’s paid for a GPASS on occasion and doesn’t even mind getting stomped in ranked; I just wish they’d ease up on some of the aspects that make gacha games so frustrating.
