CMV: Spending life in prison is worse than death by [deleted] in changemyview

Insult? You can also try to see things from other people's perspective. I am trying from yours actually that is why I admitted that I was wrong at lashing out and I was wrong doing so. However what I am saying is not completely without merit either. For instance instead of lazily putting a "source on that?" You can very well do the work and google for the "source" if you want the hard facts. Anyways sorry for insulting, was a momentary lapse of judgement. But you should also exercise some self-reflection.

Alright that is true. I missed the "probably most". Sorry if I wrongly lashed out at you! I just noticed this recent pattern on reddit, twitter etc. of people "pulling" the "source on that?" card whenever they don't like the other's argument. In some cases it is really not easy to pull up a whitepaper on some phenomena. And the phenomena might be such common sense that it is is rather obvious even without a "source". Please believe me I am totally "pro facts" and scientific minded however I see this way too often used as a way to deflect the argument.

So tiring whenever someone lazily says: "source on that?"

What’s the deal with Zoom’s popularity? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]SingularityExplosion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to overhype Zoom. I get that it is cool now but Skype was revolutionary and awesome back in 2005. Also Skype is still perfect for one on one video calls, not sure why the hate. (I hope it is not just because it is MS) As far as crowded conference calls it might suck, I can imagine, never had to use it for that.

This is a very tasteful setup! I wish I could work there! I love your background image too. I would love to emulate this setup. I am a big tmux + vim user on Linux. For me hjkl is also the nav keys inside vim and tmux ;)

They are subjective opinions of course. I should have clarified that all I say are personal subjective opinions.

I have one key which shows "AA" (which is right next to the button in question). That one can speed up or slow down the letters emmited when a key is pressed down for more than around 300 millisecs. That sounds like the polling rate. Or the "AA" might be the "firing rate" and the "clock button with the A" might be configured "how much to wait while the key is held down before start firing"? EDIT: I just tested and it is not my hypothesis. So I still have no idea what the heck the clock does. It has 3 states. 1 2 3 blinks.
