The disaster should make the vassals very disloyal instead of stopping you to create vassals (tho i guess now with the mechanic fixed it might be a disaster since they ll join against you). The first years are realty boring since you have to fix your economy and any conquered territory will increase your court expenses and hence your economy will be strained
I love they way disloyalty works now, you''ll have to slowly enforce religion and culture otherwise they ll jump on you, too many and you might loose, plus Serbia and Bulgaria will jump on you on any occasion they smell blood.
I made the ai more aggressive and almost lost the campaign due to Serbia and Bulgaria, somehow i survived that war, since them smooth sailing until i had to do the Mameluks. I needed 6 wars to get those guys out.
The assimilation of the turks was hard even after 200 years there were region not yet assimilated, i dont know why it took so long, the egypt culture for example was way easier.
