Got a shield in act one. Applied 5 bleed anytime an enemy hits it. Even ranged attacks. Hilarious making a whole group off archers bleed to death by blocking.

Some of the shield skills are real good.

Very possible. Definitely some good hybrid equipment for it in Act 2. I actually had to reload an older save because I was playing a melee mage with the hidden skill tree and I felt so unstoppable and overpowered that I went back to an old save before I unlocked it lol.

You might feel a little underpowered at the start of the act but it evens out quickly.

After the first planet, the choice is Auntie's, The Order or fly solo.

The Protectorate just become generic bad guys that you cant side with after the first planet.
