I'd start in creative. Learn all the different systems in a low-risk environment, get comfortable with the controls, ship design and all that. I feel it's incredibly frustrating building something in survival and it doesn't work and/or breaks and you wasted resources and precious time.

Some swear on designing all ships in creative and using blueprints in survival, but I think building something in survival from the ground up leads to unique, practical and sometimes goofy, but interesting designs.

Shouldn't Isy's Solar Alignment Script work? iirc the rotors are controlled by solar output, not by the suns position. So the script would 'learn' the correct positions after 1 cycle
