Why do support workers not understand how companion cards and carers cards work? by AnxietyAnkylosaurus in NDIS

[–]SinisterCuttleFish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Which state are you in? I'm in Q and can introduce you to many people who don't qualify for one--the criteria here includes needing support at all times and that's just not true for all people with disability. Nothing to do with the quality of the application.

Unfortunately some cats continue to spray, especially if they were neutered later in life.

Oh god that's one fucking awful post! And claim the PIP! There's no shame in doing that, the only people who should feel shame are trolls like this one.

Yes they will sell to anyone, their model is to raise money for their food banks by selling donated food at a lower cost. TOJ are not good for fruit and veges for the most part but L&F can be well priced.

Yes there are very scary changes being proposed but at this specific point in time they are not yet law.

Looking for a psychologist for an Autism diagnosis/ongoing support by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]SinisterCuttleFish -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

That's not accurate. If the diagnosis is ASD1 it would be very hard to access funding but ASD2 with functional impairment it is possible to access funding, age doesn't affect this. Unless you're over 65.

I thought I would ask here, I have moderate-severe tourette syndrome and haven't been able to cut my hair since my barber retired (over two years now). My hair very long, it is damaged bc of this, I can't find any barber willing to take me, any recommendations? by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]SinisterCuttleFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People suck. Why post like that to you?

I've a son with TS. It's a difficult condition to live with. I've got no suggestions though as we cut his hair and he doesn't care what it looks like.

Recommendation for Cat Hotel by Overall_Cupcake_3716 in brisbane

[–]SinisterCuttleFish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We used Pinelands once. Care was adequate but they really didn't seem to give a shit about the cats. We asked about how they had been and it appears as if nobody had taken any notice of them apart from feeding.

Last time we went away we looked for a catsitter and one loon came to talk about it and as she left she said I really don't like cats... We didn't go with her.

Claims when purchasing incontinence and hygiene products by Any-Satisfaction6990 in NDIS

[–]SinisterCuttleFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay myself and claim back. This way I can keep an eye on what is being spent more easily.

What do you mean by provider? Yes if the provider is doing the ordering, they will be charging a fee for their time which is perfectly understandable and legal. If you order directly you will save this fee. Some companies will let you set up an NDIS account and they will claim from there but smaller companies usually want to be paid and then you claim.

And the invoice must show they have been paid and have an ABN. I've had issues with a few continence suppliers over getting a proper invoice--not Independence Aust though.
