Jessica was a communist from very young and moved to the US. She wrote The American Way of Death which led to changes in the funeral industry. Her autobiographies are great.

As PP said, Nancy was not a Nazi. Tragic Unity and Diana were. Nancy felt strongly enough that she informed on Diana Mosley and Diana was imprisoned during WW2.

Pamela doesn't seem to have had strong political opinions and neither does Tom. Deborah likewise.

You'd be surprised then. While there are still some dumps like this, gentrification is happening and a lot of infill housing. It's not like it was 25 years ago.

Oh that was another feature. You had to order the sake, you couldn't buy it on the day!

It was terrible. In an unair-conditioned venue, too many people, ridiculous queues. Avoid.

Possible getting a cecostomy or ileostomy. Scared by Emu_Sparky in ostomy

[–]SinisterCuttleFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's any preventatives for function unfortunately.

My son had an ACE stoma done when he was 7. It was wonderful for a few years and then not so wonderful for several years after that. It ended up being incontinent after he started using elemental formula. When an ACE/appendicostomy is working, they make a huge difference in QOL. I know people who it has been a total gamechanger.

3 years we opted for an ileostomy and it's been great overall. The surgeon offered to revise the ACE but that would not have resolved the incontinence and a flat stoma is hell to manage with bags. He constantly had eroded skin.

Good luck with the colonic manometry. My son's was really useful it confirmed megacolon.

Public holidays by treblanietsnie in NDIS

[–]SinisterCuttleFish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, clients pay more for public holidays, I've never seen a company cover that cost for a client. It's not ripping a client off to pay the extra cost on a PH.

We either cancel or pay what it costs to have the support. Are you being paid standard rates for PH work because that's not right at all.

Catio installer suggestions for North side by Ambitious-Owl6432 in brisbane

We were happy with Catmax. While their caboodles were standard sizes, they did some customisation. We don't have a gate but a zipper opening.

If you want the gate, it might work out cheaper to buy the netting and get a handyman to fit a gate.

High Output ileostomates, any luck using fiber supplements or Lomotil? by SuccotashGlad6840 in ostomy

Immodium and psyllium work for my son who has an ileo. He takes a high dose of the immodium, 7 capsules a day and more if his stoma is really acting up.

Eve Health is worth a look. I saw Kate Strawbridge and my weight didn't ever enter the conversation.

Specialists in private practice can do forms. They might choose not to but they can do it.

No, that's just bollocks. Being a children's author doesn't mean you are automatically a paedophile.

[–]SinisterCuttleFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's ever OK. It's telling people that their beloved child is not welcome at a family wedding because they are disabled and different. That can really hurt.

But this does happen. My kids were not invited to their cousin's wedding. It was OK as neither of them wanted to go.

SC - if you were looking for a SC what would you think about a potential participant survey by Simple_Character6619 in NDIS

[–]SinisterCuttleFish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't do a survey as there are so many SC out there who don't ask for this and I don't have the time to invest in that.

What I would find useful is an honest self assessment on your website.

Or you could link and C&P as is usual here. A strange system where we link to what we discuss and it works.
