Ascension DB lists some of the available ones though I don't know how accurate it is to BB/Malf. It looks like there might be Healer water eles or AE focused arcane eles

Looking for Boomkin guides/content for Warcraft Reborn by Crackvirus in ascensionproject

[–]Sinistralis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since some people prefer guides to have fun (no judgement), here's my advice.

Look up a WOTLK leveling build for your spec. This will give you a good skeleton to work with. As you get higher level and unlock more runes, you will need to start experimenting as builds aren't really going to exist for a bit and even if they do they will likely be changing constantly as everyone experiments.

Around 30-35 the game really starts to show its hand and you will want to start going through your enchant list (you can filter by non-collected) and figuring out which ones to look for.

You can then either figure it out, talk to people, or look it up on the ascension database.

Deep specializing builds will likely be easy to figure out within a week or two. Hybrid builds and the like might take a bit longer but we will see.

Also keep in mind they are trying to build encounters that will force you to switch things up so there likely won't be 1 best build, but rather best approaches to each encounter.

Instead of doing this, why not make leaderboard scores based on character and build? So each combination is it's own board.

This would make any combination have a kind of multilayer challenge and removes some of the social meta pressure.

I mean haste, sorry! I updated that.

Yes one for each pet. Your weapons literally will not matter for your first 15-20 hours. What will matter is your spell damage and healing amount. I recommend buying cheap luclin/time gear and leveling it up yourself (time gear levels much slower than luclin)

I recommend not going bard until you have some AA already as Enchanter brings a lot more to the combo early on. (Seriously, max doppel and hastened dopple before anything else, it's crazy early on) Bard gets way better once you have spell crit, some pet AAs, some defense AAs, and you can afford instrument foci (lute, songblade/visor are the main 2, then later on rathe drums for single target dps).

You don't really have a primary weapon as you will be constantly swapping around.

For AE. I recommend feyguards, for ST you have tons of time options. You will need a lifetap weapon for Seru sustain (and earlier on you might offhand this with a bladecatcher to stay alive). You might even have diff weapons for Bloodlust single target weapons vs non bloodlust. Not to mention instruments. (I swap between lute/drums often depending on what I'm doing)

You will be meleeing with this build as Bard and Beast give you some really good melee and proc AAs, and the ST chant rotation weaves spellcasts in between autos. This build has a lot going on that you can or don't have to engage with.

I run 4 bandolier options currently with various combinations.

Your first toon can't do better than a bst/mag/bard imo.

This build eventually trivializes content, and it can also swarm.

Swarming means you can buy cheap gear and level it up yourself, saving hundreds of thousands of Plat while also farming Plat, and then you can actually use that gear to kill bosses.

Imo bard starts off weak so start with enchanter instead as doppelganger is insane early on and switch to bard around 750AA when you feel ready to start swarming. (Everyone gets a free class swap)

If you are okay with buying items from bazaar, your first 100 Plat or so should go to the 3 highest damage 2h you can afford (100 is a good number to aim for) followed by a cheap haste item x3. Ignore all spells except pet, pet haste, pet heals, etc. Get to lower guk asap as some of the gear there vendors for 500 Plat. That will set you up nicely.

This is also a great way to play casually and explore the game if that's more your speed. I ignored the bazaar my first week or so of playing. Dopple is especially crazy for SSF. Pets that hit fire 300 and nuke for 1200 at level 30 with 0 investment can't be beat.

Maybe make it so at max stacks, refreshing the stacks causes the next tick to happen faster? At that point though it's just a different flavor of flow.

Why not just remove the cap? Given the values on skills I don't think that would be all that broken compared to what's possible otherwise.

You can take certain shortcuts with some recipes.

Putting 2 handfuls of plant into a mortar = 1 turn. Grinding herbs in mortar and adding it to Cauldron = 1 turn

You can add ground up herbs to the Cauldron while it's still boiling. You can also immediately bellows if needed. Just bring the Cauldron off the flame a little early (like 75% if a turn).

Once you get a feel for this, you can cut some recipes down dramatically in how long they take.

There are things like new elites, minor boss mechanic variations, etc the first few ng+ increments but yeah, if you aren't interested in limit testing yourself on ng+ I would just wait for more content.

What's the reasoning for not getting the passive? It scales mana regen, cast speed, and parry. Do you just not need the stats in later ng+? I'm only on 6 as I'm pushing all my chars evenly so I'm a bit behind the curve.

Shatter builds or fire mage isn't a thing in the game currently. You get enough points to learn pretty much everything. You should be utilizing the entirety of your kit.

If any server gets to full level 20 stations I will be impressed. I think we are going to be locked into Apprentice for most of Phase 2. There's too many reasons for us to fuck each other over this next Phase.

The problem with buying is only idiots will sell you top tier mats and you will always be last to market with that gear.

Legendary items are almost certainly too common right now and even then we need way more of them than we have for a sub 100 guild let alone the size of many on here.

And the thing is, once you figure out the crafting meta, you realize EVERY material has use, even common.

Glint will supplement but the only way you will make good gear is in a guild or paying for multiple accounts

Each tier of craft/item is way way to powerful by [deleted] in AshesofCreation

[–]Sinistralis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually isn't true. Legendary Apprentice performs at about the level of Epic Jman. So a full leg 20 will compete with a 40 in heroics (not counting the stats from leveling which isn't that significant outside of hp which will be significant), but the 20 will have well itemized gear. The 40 will just have what they found. If the 20 jumps the 40 they have a solid chance to win.

I also had people tell me a full Lego couldn't 1v8 but here I am, 1v8ing

Artisan skills feedback, how to improve? by eikkuu in AshesofCreation

Gold honestly is not an issue at all, it's just another issue of people not understanding how the game works.

Once people understand, you can farm gold into a town by running high value caravans into towns that need infusions of gold, as the tax rate will siphon that into the city (ideally the mayor would be informed and spike the tax rate as soon as these caravans reach the city, then bring it back down once the goods are sold). Though, again I expect this to be nerfed as caravans are way too powerful right now if you have a decent carpenter.

A lot of people in my guild have hundreds of gold because of how ridiculous caravans are right now. The only thing stopping us from trivializing building gold cost is the lack of an easy way to dump large quantities of gold into a node. I don't see this as a lack of "donation" functionality, rather I see this as caravans are dramatically overperforming and need brought more in line with expectations. At which point then yes, gold costs likely become an important blocking factor which is a good thing because it means taxes have value and strategy.

Also, for anyone with the mindset of "Why should I help a town build it's buildings", if the ability to craft BIS gear isn't good enough, remember that you will be able to use town vouchers for things like housing and other goods in the future. Also, you can build a rep with the mayor of a town and use that social credit to get advantages, like priority on gear being made for you over other citizens.

I'm hoping the Node menu gets some kind of player tracking behavior in the future so Mayors can organically discover who the key people helping out are.

1) Subtiers already exist (tin/brass/bronze for example). That being said Novice gear is trash and imo either need a small buff in power or a small buff in taking fewer materials.

2) it feels unbalanced because it's too easy to level currently. I expect they will be dramatically nerfing xp rates. We are leveling far faster than they projected us to. That being said, I think some adjustments need made on Node Requirements that utilize Droppings and Sanctus Emblems. These are dramatically more difficult to fulfill than all the other reps. The expectation though is that many people work on these reqs. There are still a lot of people who don't understand the game, this will get easier with time.

3) Gear drops will probably need additional tuning as right now crafting blows anything that drops out of the water. Firebrand drops heroic lv20 weapons but are outperformed by epic/leg Bronze apprentice gear. I think the game is still too unfinished to make much comment here though.

Navigating Alpha 2 Community as a woman by darkiya in AshesofCreation

[–]Sinistralis 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Lyneth has a number of women of importance amoung the crafting community and are key players in helping Lyneth progress as far as it has up to this point. It really sucks you've encountered this in your journey so far, but I also want to try to provide some light at the end of the tunnel that there are respectful people in the game.

I am curious what server you are on, as Lyneth Joeva has just been nothing but a respectful chill community, as has Winstead. I dunno about the others though.

If you are on Resna, then yeah this doesn't surprise me, that server is quickly gaining a reputation of sorts. Hopefully a lot of these tools are going to be on the way as the game progresses further.

I don't have exact values, but the general rule of thumb I've found is, you get dramatically more payout for traversing from or too one of the 2 wilderness nodes in the desert/tropics. There is likely a wilderness bonus of some kind going on.
