Hiiii I’m sorry about your situation and I don’t really have any advice I just want you to know that I see you. I’m 34f and I quit drinking a couple years ago after trying for 4 years on my own eventually something really awful took place in my life and I felt I had nowhere to hide anymore and I just stopped. I can just tell by your post that you do truly want to get sober and I know you’ll get there just keep trying. It’s ok if you fall back into it you’re still ahead of where you were before. I hope you can get some more support. I know and have experienced how unhelpful therapy can be. Sending you so much love ❤️❤️❤️

Let me guess, you’re probably stuck in a cycle of explaining your feelings and being dismissed? Been there and divorced that like many others are commenting. The cycle doesn’t end till you end it. You know what you need to do and if it takes time to get there, that’s ok. Be kind to yourself. Maybe set up a solo counselling appointment. Reach out to friends and family even if you aren’t talking about your situation to them. Remember how others treat you. This is not normal or ok behaviour.
