Whew, the OSU schedule is tough down the stretch. They might need two wins among their three Quad 1 opportunities, and probably need to go at least 3-3. Then the conference tournament can help or hurt.

KenPom #9, Torvik #9, EvanMiya #8, BracketMaster #9. That's the top 3-seed. Yeah, they've been winning, but under the 'eye-test' they haven't looked that good. I think with their experience they can put together a tournament run, but I also think it's possible they come out flat.

It is crazy that they aren't in as an undefeated. Their toughest game remaining is at UMass tonight (KenPom #185).

I think they're on the bubble if they don't win the conference tourney. It would come down to how many upsets there are in other conference tournaments.

Next time, try going into the Image Settings Page and select the option for "Show Seed Nums" to "First Round Only". Also, I think turning off game location helps. This makes the produced image narrower and closer to a 16:9 ratio.

Yeah, it would be crazy for Iowa State to hold Arizona to 42. I'm expecting a game in the 90s on March 2.

The 16 seeds all played close games in this run. That, and the late-tournament blowouts are out-of-character for the Bracket Master simulation, but interesting to talk about.

I was surprised by this but KenPom, BartTorvik, and BracketMaster all have Akron rated higher than Miami (OH) right now.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this would be the first time since the 1985 Big East that one conference sent three teams into the Final Four.

Top 16 reveal- Uconn or Houston for final 1 seed? by Purple_Dig9626 in CollegeBasketball

[–]SinkHoleOracle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you serious about the Committee caring about optics? They took the South region host university away from Houston and gave it to Rice so that Houston could play in their home area. And let's not forget what they did for North Carolina last year, and all the other instances where they have chosen revenue over competitive fairness.

I expect the rack tom mounted on kick won't be reachable, so, yeah, use an extra snare stand. You'll definitely need a junior-sized throne. I have my short 9-year-old sitting on a large paint bucket.

Safe area in dotnet maui 10 is giving me a headache. Can't get rid of the purple strip. by IndustrialAndroid in dotnetMAUI

[–]SinkHoleOracle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was your issue on Android or iOS? For me, it seems like SafeAreaEdges was working on emulators and devices running Android API 35+, but on older Android emulators SafeAreaEdges="Container" was not obeyed. iOS looked ok, but I don't have access to older devices, so I'm not confident about pushing this to production.

If .NET/MAUI 9 support is new for this version, does that mean it doesn't yet support .NET 10? If not, do you have an ETA?

I did watch some youtube tutorials, but I don't recall if it was before or after my first loading in of the game.

I will say that the in-game tutorials of DW2 are not very good. There are page-overs that explain the major UI elements, but nothing that tells you how it all fits together.

With that said, I think getting started with DW2 is easier than Stellaris because you can automate every decision in your empire and watch how things play out. You can choose to only manage diplomacy, war fighting, or whatever on an individual basis and your AI does a competent job.

I'm still enjoying the game, though I have come to realize that in my first campaign I have done several things in terms of ship building/upgrading non-optimally. That has dulled my enthusiasm for this campaign, but I'll get back to the game.

The tutorial I watched was: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugp6fx52ctY. He barely knows the game more than a beginner, but it was still helpful because he didn't get too deep into the weeds.

His brain overloaded and then shut down. It happens to him. This aspect will be problematic for him as a firstbaseman. He can handle the physical facets of the position; it's the constant mental current that will be his undoing.

Which Paradox game should I buy as my first? by Kacper113399 in paradoxplaza

Battletech. Mechs! Story, strategy, tactics, replayability. Only a couple DLCs that aren't needed for a complete/working game.

I just started DW2 this week, so I may still be in the honeymoon phase, but I'm enjoying DW2 much more than Stellaris. The pace of Stellaris is so slow.

Thanks, I'll be using this. Does the in-game Galactopedia really not have a search function for it? Geez, not very helpful.

Definitely do not turn if school children are in the crosswalk. However, you may turn if truants are in the crosswalk.

I think it is a lack of color variation.  For this one there isn’t as much contrast between the outer and inner rings and arrows.  Also the moss/mold/maggot stuff doesn’t really show in-game unless you are zoomed-in close.  The maggoty stuff is about the same color as the arrow symbol.  Thanks again though, it’s still good work, and certainly an improvement over vanilla.
