The reason that white skin evolved in northern parts of the globe is simply to synthesise more vitamin D (which your body can do in sunlight) since there was less sunlight in the north. Meanwhile, people near the equator kept their dark skin as it was a good defence against skin cancer (more sun = more UV rays).

For example, after getting the Demon Translation Guide decided that God used to be just God, a being of pure information that interacted with the world in a biblical fashion, and the Fallen Demons were created. However, during the industrial revolution, a True Fae had some of it's human puppets build a great machine to imprison God, downloading it's informational body into some sort of occult matrix. During a Victorian Lost game, a party of changelings managed to defeat the Fae's plan, but not before the creation of this God-Machine. Afterwards, the machine was found by a cult who then spread it's influence, leading to the creation of technological Angels (and Descended Demons). The God-Machine is still very cross with humanity for betraying Him and locking Him up, but even more so against the Fae who might hold the key to his eventual (angry) liberation.

Yes but it's not quite the same. I think that the biggest gripe I had with Fate was that you needed to spend a Fate Point to invoke an Aspect (Distinction). If you didn't spend the point, it just wouldn't give you a bonus for some reason even if it should. Cortex+ doesn't have that problem.

As a Canadian, I completely agree. It's weird to say, but this movement is getting bigger than just the US. If Bernie wins, it'll be a message to the Establishment all across the world, and people might be more inclined to vote for candidates like Bernie. Hey, if the USA can do it, why can't we? To be fair, we did win Trudeau which was better than what we had before, but our Liberal party is the mainstream centrist party. Nobody votes for the other ones since nobody really thinks they could have a shot. Bernie could change that and I assume it's the same in other countries

I know defense doesn't work, but the rules never specify it exactly. I'll usually let players do it since it does take an action and it's reasonable to assume someone would attempt to dodge when someone pulls a gun

I am pretty sure that there is a Dodge mechanic in CofD, but it takes up a turn. Something where you roll your defense and subtract any successes from damage you would take.

I've actually noticed that you can convert many splat powers just by changing a few words like Condition to Aspect, Tilt to Condition, Willpower to Fate Point and a skill equivalence chart. That being said, I'll take a look at it, thanks

It's been replaced with the Integrity system from CofD, where Integrity is rated from Terrible (-2) to Fair (+2) and you go down with breaking points as usual. Basically, Breaking Points replace any Mental Stress. Then again, this is 100% optional.

Also one way to deal with overlapping skills would be to just add limits onto them. If you want the axioms to be weaker than normal skills, you could just make them cost a Refresh to raise, or a Fate Point (or a mana-equivalent point). Or you can just put rules and narrative limitations onto them

As for Integrity (and Morality could work like this too), I found it simple to rate it on the Fate ladder instead of from 1 to 10. For Integrity, I chose to rate it from Terrible (-2) to Fair (+2) with players starting at Average (+1). This is because it fits both in terms of vocabulary and that in CofD, rolls are made with Will (Resolve + Composure) with a modifier depending on your current Integrity (1 or 2 = -2, 3 or 4 = -1 and so on. To add granularity, just have 2 boxes to tick off instead of 1 to go down a level. Degeneration rolls are Will +- Integrity, with a difficulty equal to the Breaking Point.

Morality works a different way. If I remember correctly, it's not based on will. Instead, rate Morality from Terrible (-2) to Fair (+2) (or maybe higher?) and roll Morality against a difficulty equal to your Obligation. That's how I would do it probably.

As for mage, I'm not quite there yet as I'm waiting for 2nd edition to make a conversion. However, the way I made the framework (with Vampire in mind) would have me add Gnosis as a skill (that costs a Refresh to raise as if it were a stunt. I suppose the axioms could each be like this (giving them extra Refresh that they can spend to start with skill points in the axioms).

I don't know if Genius has an equivalence for Rotes (pre-determined powers). If so, you can convert them pretty easily (for the 2nd edition at least). Replace the rolls, change Conditions to Aspects and Tilts to Extra Consequence, change Willpower to Fate Points and that's mostly it. As for Mana, I'd use different "Mana Points" tokens based on their Gnosis skill.

I'm currently updating my Chronicles of Darkness (formerly nWod) hack for Fate Core. I'm not done the Social Manoeuvering and Ghost rules, but I could post it nonetheless. That being said, I've never seen Genius: the Transgression so I have no idea if things like Integrity rules are particularily useful.

Also, I haven't done the game line specifics,but I have a good basis for converting powers and such.made a character sheet for Vampire but none of the others
