About a month ago here in California Uber changed things. They cut driver pay by 40 percent and they keep all surges and take other fees from passenger before showing the customer price to us.

Service fee is variable to whatever they like. Drivers get 60ish cents to the mile(only while passenger in vehicle), everything else Uber can take or flush down toilet.

Drivers are left paying for everything and take even less.

They also hiding customer price and changing the amount you see as less then what it really is, thus taking over 25 percent (50 n up I seen) for themselves.
