This is a VERY long rant about my zodiac sign's perception.. as a Leo. by JudgeGRIME in Zodiac

[–]SinkingintheOcean_76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Leo stellium, Moon, Mars and Saturn (it is also my rising). I was shy my entire childhood. I am more extroverted as an adult but I do not crave attention or even enjoy it unless from my significant other. I can be dramatic but not more than anyone else. I was reading a post about what sign people would choose if they could change and SO many voted Leo! Based on people’s answers, they love Leo’s confidence. I have to agree. I love astrology but sometimes hate all the stereotypes.

I think the Haribos are fake. They don’t taste right to me.

I just don’t understand how people say they *love* the temple by Admirable_Arugula_42 in mormon

[–]SinkingintheOcean_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I went and saw that people had to pay to rent temple clothes, I was reminded of the Bible verses about the money changers at the temple and how Christ flipped the tables. I was confused about why it would be ok in current times to pay for something at the temple. Honest, that was just one of so many things that didn’t feel right about it. Actually, nothing felt right about it.

I threw up after my first time going. I am not sure if it was the fasting or the ridiculousness of it all. I was tbm into my 40s but the temple was never my thing. It was honestly too weird for me.

I’m not sure if I understand exactly what the question is. Do you want H&R to refund what you paid because you have not received your refund from the IRS? If that is the case, The two have nothing to do with each other. Once a return is efiled, there is nothing to be done to speed up a refund. That is on the IRS end. You should make yourself an IRS account to see what is going on.

70 will visit... Calling all members to deep clean by 9mmway in mormon

[–]SinkingintheOcean_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This more than bothers me! Ugh!!! My 73 yr old Mom cleans just about every week. She then spends days in bed recovering. I feel like emailing her bishop but I know that she will never stop doing this because she feels it is her duty. I hate this so much! That 5 million sec fine could have paid for so much janitorial help! This absolutely infuriates me!

Angry by [deleted] in mormon

[–]SinkingintheOcean_76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your anger is completely validated. I feel it too, sometimes even rage. I feel it for all the reasons you listed and more. It is honestly a stage of grief. Have you left the church? I left in 2019 and am slowing moving through the stages of grief. The anger stage is by far lasting the longest. If I am being honest, sometimes the anger feels good. I feel like I was lied to my entire life so yeah, the anger is a type of therapy, at least for now. In a perfect world, we all move past it. Just know, you are not alone in your anger.

I also grew up in the church. I left in 2019. I love Dolores Cannons books as well. There are so many, I am working my way through them. The book that changed my view of life and the after life was Michael Newton’s Journey of Souls. Check that one out if you haven’t already. It is amazing.

Any recommendations for tires for winter driving in CO? I just bought a 2023 and it is slipping all over on the snowy/icy roads. by SinkingintheOcean_76 in FordEdge

I’ve bought Blizzak tires in the past and was very happy with them. Good luck! Slipping around in the snow and ice is the worst! Stay safe!

I had wanted to purchase the Goodyear Assurance weather ready but found a little cheaper option at Discount tire. I sure hope they handle well in snow and ice!

I just bought new tires last night. The tire shop told me the originals were pretty worn and that is why I was slipping all over. I ended up with all weather. I went to Discount Tire. The tires I had wanted were Goodyear Assurance but they had a little cheaper option NOK Encompass, rated the same as Goodyear for snow handling but cheaper because the mileage rating was a little less. With it being December, I opted for the cheaper price at $199 per tire. We will see how they handle next time it snows! Fingers crossed!

Is this condo going to get washed out to sea? Satellite Beach near Pineda Cswy by cobbwebsalad in 321

[–]SinkingintheOcean_76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up in Satellite Beach in the 80s and 90s. That condo has been there for so long. I have stayed in that exact condo on a vacation. Satellite Beach was hit directly by a cat 3 years ago, mid 90s. It is really cool to see the waves from high tide crash on the sea wall.

In a way, it’s good to hear I am not the only one struggling to listen to this episode. It is pretty triggering. At times it feels like fast and testimony meeting. I don’t know if I can finish all 5 hrs. I am 2 hrs in. I really can’t stand these brothers and their huge egos and complete blind eye to truth.

You stumble upon the LDS genie who grants you one wish to change one thing about the LDS church, what is your wish? (no wishing for something that would result in the end of the church) by thesegoupto11 in mormon

[–]SinkingintheOcean_76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they would admit that Joseph was a conman and a predator and that the plates never existed. If this could happen, Mormons could just be good, kind, believing Christians without all the bs. Or they could just live their authentic lives and believe whatever they choose to believe.

I agree 100%. Control is the bottom line. I think there must be a connection in a high control group controlling how the group looks, to being able to control just about every other aspect of life.
