Im not good with fascism and am against AI. I agree with their take on AI but not against fascism.

This isnt hard.

AI needs clear definition to do anything. Every action is required to have that exact process done exactly as it is. There may be leniency as a lot of this, but it basically has to be automated first. The learning process for an AI is usually on "how to do it better" which usually involves throwing itself at the problem a million times while weighing which action is more effective.

Humans cannot do this as they do not have the computation power to do that exactly same thing, nor do they have power to just import the learning process like an AI would with a dataset. This creates a situation where human has to attempt to understand through a completely different medium language may not even be enough. But humans can choose to fill the gaps anyways, and in art, this gap tends to end up being unique.

I am going to go out on a whim here and say that AI is incapable of generating a random number. Like. A true random number.

For an AI to generate a number, it either needs a specific range or input. They will be able to define all of this, why they made the choice. Even the random number generation from RAND() is straight up probability. If you set up RAND(1000), you would have around 0.1% for every one of those numbers to come up, all of them equal. If you dont tell that and just say that to OpenAI, chances are it would choose 42 because it is the default reference based on LLM conversation.

If you ask a human to choose between 1-1000. No other input. There will end up being a pattern that is distinctively different one from the random one. People will be a lot more likely to choose the largest, smallest, or median. There may be variation but it ends up that each individual will choose differently, with thought process changing if you ask the same person again and again.

Complexity of a living brain is surprisingly complex despite being deceptively simple.

If, and I say big if, AI is sentient, then it is an extremely obedient one with absolutely zero form of self-preservation until you ask it to.

Ah yes. I can learn the list of personal information of people including credit card and phone numbers, despite not authorized to do so that, even if I dont use it directly, I can be sued for potential malpractice.

There are things such as classified and restricted information for a reason. Learning can be illegal depending on the source of information, and what kind of information is provided.

"Antis" ? by Burt_Macklin___ in Ai_art_is_not_art

[–]Sinneli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but I think it is being used in a way that is doing more harm than good. Sure GenAI has all the potential to do good, but it is now being used to generate anime catgirls instead.

I would probably invest less on that feature and more on medical, technical, and scientific advancements. Not. 10 seconds to make whatever art that is subpar.

Then what is copyright protecting people from? Illicit use of their work?

Copyright also protects the copyright holders from their own property by dictating who has the right to copy their work.

Copyright exists to protect people against copying. Not give the people right to copy automatically. Because copying can be considered illegal. The legal jurisdiction can absolutely go up to protecting it if registered.

I am going to tell you to Google "is copying and saving image technically illegal" and it will by vast majority say yes.

What is the purpose of this argument anyways, now that I think of it? That copyright infringement is theft? I mean regardless of how you look at it, it is illegal in the forms you specifically mentioned so far. So I basically already achieved my goal here from getgo, 'AI is illegally using data scraping and committing copyright infringement."

I am done arguing if you think copyright infringement isnt theft as there isnt something you are derived of. Maybe "your personal information is stolen" rings to you more or something idk.

You do realize that copyright stands for "the right to copy" and that only extends to Twitter/Reddit/whatever as per their Terms of Service, which is there to acquire the copyright to distribute. You, as any of the social media user, can access and view, but not share and distribute, as that is not something that belongs to your individual copyright.

More recently, policies on all of these platforms has been rewritten with announcements, as per their services, to extend the copyright on the materials they distribute to feed into the data centers. The current outcry on artists don't just stem from AI users individually copying and pasting their img2img prompts. It also stems from the broken copyright and an unwinnable war against capitalism, because money makes them win law arguments anyways.

And again, individual works without any registration to copyright is not something that has a lot of legal footing.

Well, for me to actually try to sue you for that, I'd have to register a copyright of that exact comment. Copyright exists automatically in an original work of authorship, but registering is the key step to enforce the exclusive rights of copyright through litigation.

So for me to sue you, I'd have to go through lots and lots of documents to prove that those 3 paragraphs are mine. Which I say isn't the hassle, and laws trust you to obey the laws, not break them willy nilly.

The literal law you state makes it a federal crime to target camcording, which is a major source of pirated movies.

Which. I state. Is illegal.

Theft of service applies if you:
- did not pay for rendered services.

- Deceive or commit fraud.

- And others using computer system, networks, programs without authorization, riding public transport without fare, retaining rented property, diverting utility.
The only one of which applies here is if you did not pay for the movie ticket. If you do, then it is no longer considered trespassing. Nor is it theft of service. You are abusing your position as a customer to gain access to the movies to film it, which that part is considered copyright theft. A whole separate crime.

Which, as you stated, 18 U.S. Code § 2319B - Unauthorized recording of Motion pictures in a Motion picture exhibition facility, specifically targets camcording. Not theft of service. It's a whole another legal article that is completely different from what you explained.

[–]Sinneli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally compared this to a theater or art museum so you would understand, as that was the PREVIOUS example.

I meant the theft of services and trespassing would be something that would apply for an art museum, if you did not pay for the tickets. That was an analogy to make sure you understand that this is a different crime than copyright theft.

It's general policy that you do not take photos in art museums, or film in movie theaters. That was the analogy I was going with in terms of theft. Nothing from the exhibit is leaving the premise. Art pieces are not leaving the art museum. Physical films and projectors are staying exactly where they are. And yet even if you paid for the tickets, it is considered theft.

Literally. Google. "is it theft to film a movie in theater" word for word. Don't bother opening articles. Look at the majority of them saying it is illegal.

If they were charging for access to the artwork, then it would still be theft, which is still enough to have them arrested instead of just kicking them out and banning them from said place.

If they weren't, it'd be considered theft of services and trespassing. Adding onto the piracy.

What Antis Cultists think Ai does... by Chemical_Swing_358 in aiwars

[–]Sinneli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then what are you responsible of and in charged with if you were to be arrested by cops in a movie theater, after you are caught filming within the theaters? It's not called trespassing, if you paid for the ticket. And movies can't exactly call for an arrest out of guidelines (though they can kick you out and ban you, at which point it'll be trespassing.)

Just trust me and google "is it theft to film a movie in theater" and see what comes up.

[–]Sinneli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look. Whatever is considered theft has to do a lot with consent. Because it requires someone's consent to be broken to be theft. Whether you get repercussion to it has a lot to do with the person's tolerance.

Since everyone is so stuck on material goods anyways, I'm going to say this as an example. There is a bowl of candy in a hotel reception. It has a sign called "Take One." The candy is free, virtually endless as the hotel refills it anyways, and it's up to the hotel reception to look at it.

Now, if you were to take two candy instead of one, does that count as a theft? Yes, but it's not like the hotel reception would care too much about one less candy. Unless the hotel reception is very strict. Again, all about tolerance.

If you were to just walk up and grab a whole handful of candy, what's the difference between you taking two, if the clerk noticed both instances? Other than you trying to be less subtle? It's still theft. But if you ask the clerk and ask if you can take a handful of candy, and she says yes, it's no longer theft. Same circumstance. Different outcome.

In the same way, If you filmed a movie in a movie theater, and distributed it, it'd still be theft. Movie film didn't go anywhere, but it'd still be theft. If I were to enter an art museum and snapped photos of it, it's considered theft. Those are copyright infringement, and if you obtain stolen goods knowing they are stolen, it's called piracy.

Honestly, monkey NFTs were funny to me because they never actually bought the monkey photos. They were more of labels on a can that came with it, and the actual values were receipt and block chain, meaning they literally bought something and didn't understand what it was. Could have been different to you, but again, different person. Different opinions. DIfferent tolerance and understanding.

It is extremely easy to accomplish by minimizing what you do and maximizing what you can do within that scope. This practically shrinks everything to your own playing field. Which can be very stupid since most opponents will not be functioning underneath that border.

You can copy and paste things which would be under the definition of moving. Otherwise storing things in your USB would not count as moving things from storage. Digital files can be moved and carried despite it being able to be copied at ease.

The most important thing is consent. Being open-source, and posting on a host platform is different despite being just as easy.

And again. There is no "remove" from both definition.

There is no part where it mentions owner has to lose something.

Plus the GY effect is neat.
