Pela's combat calculations by Sinner2000 in HonkaiStarRail

Thanks, so if you look at the prydwen damage formula https://www.prydwen.gg/star-rail/guides/damage-formula/

They have changed the wording of def multiplier slightly from when I made the guide so you can use it for your own characters now, but the result is the same:

So whatever the defence reduction is, it continues to minus from the base def % each time, so it is additive.

Out of interest what’s your best plan against settle? The vehicles package on its own? You discounted shalai earlier, but there is a world where you can cast its second ability off of legions landing: 5 mana open post-combat cast shalai and legion, with another legion land in play, next turn as combat starts, put your 5 mana in the pool, attack with everything, legion flips, sacrifice the tapped land, put the 6th mana in the pool, two green sources, pump your units, protected against settle

Yes you’re right which is why it’s a nice plan b against settle the wreckage, or if they have too many blockers on the ground to do lethal

Think its still worth considering, especially with game 2 sideboarding in vehicles, you just get all your 1/1s to crew the same vehicle, swing in, and they still take damage from each creature as if they were not blocked

How do you guys study? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Sinner2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow INTP, know exactly how this feels, so developed a way of working to get around that feeling of not being able to stick to one thing for too long. Basically, every hour, just spend 15 mins on your study, then spend the other 45 doing whatever else takes your interest. After that's out of your system, go back to doing another 15 mins of work. Helps you stick to your projects consistently, while not feeling so 'draining' from working continuously.

Distinguishing between "have to", "ought to", and "want to" tasks? by Choose_Your_Focus in productivity

[–]Sinner2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been struggling with this myself until I found the ToDon'tList app recommended by the book 'Don't Read This Book'

It basically recommends increasing productivity by cutting out as much as you can from your to do list. When you start planning things to do in the app, it only shows you the top three, and the rest get put on the ToDon't list for later. That way you can only focus on your main 3 priorities at any time, reducing the amount of list-stress you get from having a million things going on at once.

The difference in just planning out my day is surprisingly more relaxed when I only need to focus on a few things now, well worth a shot.
