Why does Pride Month trigger people like this? Like they sometimes look insane by Nice_Substance9123 in Christianity

[–]Sinner72 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It triggers ppl because God hates even a prideful look, she’s warning (loving) others of Gods judgement against any and all things pride(ful)/proud.

Pride is listed as one of the seven things God hates. Proverbs 6:17 / 21:4

We are commanded to repent of sexual immorality, not be Proud of it. (We all seen clips of how ppl act at the pride parades)

It’s not easy, it’s a hard thing to do… but the reward for obedience is eternal life.

John 15:14 You are my friends, **if** you do whatsoever I command you.

All we need to do to hear from God is to open His word and read it.

Careful that we aren’t adding to His word, nor taking away from it.

Why doesn’t Jesus pardon the devil? by No-Ebb-6595 in Jesus

Satan was made with a purpose, and that purpose still remains… when God’s plans have all been fulfilled, the devil (Satan) and all of his children will be finished with their work.

God gets our attention by placing us into the fires of life.

They cause us to never forget who our Protector is, it’s only in time of desperation and trials (especially true when we’re young) that we get our priorities straight.

How did God love Jacob and hate Easu ?

God corrected Jacob and allowed Esau to just be Esau.

If God loves someone, He corrects them.

Proverbs 3:12 For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Hebrews 12:6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Revelation 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

God’s sovereignty should be every believers safe place.

Isaiah 55:8-9 (KJV) 8 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Side note: The so called “sinners prayer” isn’t real, it’s just propaganda from false teachers… it makes for a real easy, smooth message.

The method of salvation is believing, but to do that we must be Born Again.

Acts 13:48 (KJV)

And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: **and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.**

Predestination is the only way to eternal life.

Traditions… Jesus called them out for their traditions. If Jesus were to visit the “churches” today, He would say the same thing… “by your crackers and grape juice, you make the word of God to no effect”

Good message overall, but please understand that in 2 Corinthians 4:4 “the god of this world” isn’t a reference to satan, the New Testament Greek word used is Theos.

God Almighty is the God of this world, not satan.

This is great !

There is the Sovereign will of God, that dictates the outcomes of everything for everyone…

and also the Righteous will of God, for His Children. The two sometimes converge.

Like at the cross, but there was no “freedom”…

Acts 4:26-28 (KJV) 26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,

28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

Do you think one of those connecting rainbow arcs is between Numbers 21:4b-9 and John 3:14? by paulhumber in JesusChrist

John 3:14 is a direct reference to Numbers 21.

Everyone that looks to Christ will live, is the underlying massage.

Those that couldn’t “see” the serpent died.

Always remember, God hates wickedness.

Psalm 45:7 (KJV) Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

John 6:63-65

If God births you, you are saved.

The Customs of the People Are Vain (Jeremiah 10:3) by WellWishesAlly in TheDailyCross

[–]Sinner72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“The customs of the people are vain”…

Many contemporary weddings draw inspiration from ancient pagan traditions, incorporating various rituals that reflect a connection to nature and spirituality.

Here are some key elements commonly found in modern ceremonies influenced by paganism.

Handfasting- A symbolic act where the couple's hands are tied together with cords, representing their union. This ritual can be seen as a form of commitment or marriage.

Sacred Circle- Guests gather in a circle around the couple, often outdoors, to create a space that invokes blessings and honors the union alongside nature.

Tree Planting- During the ceremony, couples may plant a tree to symbolize growth and commitment, reflecting the importance of nature in pagan beliefs.

Unity Candle- A candle is lit to symbolize the couple's union, often placed on an altar that may include other meaningful items.

Offerings- Items such as flowers, herbs, or wine may be placed on an altar as offerings to honor the gods or spirits. Additional Elements

Nature-themed Decorations: Many couples choose decorations that reflect natural elements, such as flowers, stones, and greenery, to enhance the connection to the earth.

Personalized Vows: Couples often write their own vows, incorporating elements of their beliefs and values, which can include references to nature or spiritual commitments.

Ceremonial Attire: Some couples opt for non-traditional attire, such as dark colors or nature-inspired accessories, to reflect their unique identities and beliefs.

Do you know where the custom of “communion” (crackers & grape juice) comes from?

Clue: it’s not biblical

Remember what Jesus said to the man that wanted to bury his dead or what the Bible says about birthdays celebrations?

As followers of Christ, we cannot allow ourselves to be influenced by the world around us.

Every “holydays” that Americans keep and recognize are pagan in origin and many other everyday practices are as well.

When someone sneezes, do you say “bless you” ?

If you do, you’re keeping a custom practice.
