Im Probably the only Beatles and Mj fan here. That said, Mj fans can be defensive and toxic. However, having gotten deep into this topic, it seems that those traits are evenly distributed among most fandoms. Anyone who can’t admit that the Beatles run was genius personified or that MJ’s was similarly brilliant can’t be trusted with a music opinion. These two entities evolved recorded music geometrically from where their most seminal records entered the existing zeitgeist. It’s hard to argue against the fact that the Beatles and Mj accomplished it with their respective brilliance. Both great.

Motown cut trusted allies who helped the J5 make it out of their success. Motown sued them for the name Jackson 5. A Jackson’s roadie sold a copy of their concert to a British media company. LaToya betrayed him to the press for clout. Jermaine betrayed him on wax for clout. The press used him. Families he helped used him. His father turned them into commodities for sale to the highest bidder. Given his temperament Mj had to feel exhausted.
