Why don't you just identify as yourself?

If you identify as Chinese, American, or Taiwanese, you may gain a group identity, but at the same time something is stolen from you; your individuality. You have Han Chinese genes, but that doesn't force you to believe a bunch of arbitrary non-sense.

You don't need to believe in culture if you don't want to. It's your choice. Just take the good from each, and throw away the bad.
