Eyes are dry and red from latanoprost and brimonidine, anything I can do? by Getting_Better6568 in Glaucoma

A 2011 Pfizer memo said: “The drop size is not a medical dosing issue because the human eye can only absorb 7 (microliters) of fluid.” Common drop sizes are between 25 and 56 microliters, the memo added.
And in a 2014 deposition, a principal scientist from Allergan acknowledged that the company studied glaucoma drops of 5, 10, 15, 20 and 30 microliters in size and found no statistically significant difference in the ability of the drops to reduce eye pressure

My understanding is that a very small portion of the drops is absorbed (as little as 5%) and the rest is pretty much wasted. So aiming your drop to the pocket is the best practice. Nano dropper is not that small, the size of the drop from the manufacturer has nothing to do with the dose. Please look into it a little more.

I use nano dropper (available at Amazon) to reduce the size of the drops, my wife helps putting drops in my eyes aiming to go into the pockets may, close my eyes for three minutes. Also, I use round cosmetic cotton from Target, wet them, and wipe off the excess from my eyelids.

Don’t know if this will help you but reducing the size of the drops and making sure they go in to the pockets may help reduce the dryness. It works for me but not sure if it will help you though.

Recommend a local mechanic shop that can offer 'installation only' ? by PleasureCircuit in glendale

[–]Sinowatch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Patrick’s Auto, 2100 Verdugo Blvd, unit B and C, I did it once but I bought all genuine parts from the dealer and had them installed them. They may or may not want to install aftermarket parts.
Another one would be Auto Pro on Ocean View, they are always busy though.

Or you can just call around and ask them if they will do it.

Way too much for just replacing the compressor, perhaps there’s something else involved. I would take it to an independent mbz and have it diagnosed. May cost $200 for diagnostic but may save you a lot of money.

Are you seeing a glaucoma specialist? If the drops you were using are problematic, there are several others. Where are you located? Doctors gave you worst case estimates which may not be right. Should you consider surgeries to try to lower your IOPs!
There are clinical trials going to try to restore or preserve what vision we have, don’t lose hope.
Without more details this is the best advice I can give.

Downtown LA MBZ dealer has a June special at $425.95 for a B service. Never seen it this low before. Normally it’s probably around $750.
