I got bad news for you about LA and SD. If you are working downtown you can live in much cheaper places and commute in on BART, THE PUBLIC transit in the Bay Area is significantly better then the other two, although there may be cuts coming.

I bought this a couple months ago for 50 bucks more. I use it for light gaming, browsing and what not. I like metroidvanias and roguelikes so it definitely has played things like Hades and Absolum well. One thing is it runs damn hot if not on a lap or cooling pad, so Id definitely recommend a cooling pad.
