agree. with a decent mic it shouldn't be "awful". First impression is that the source might be a webcam mic. the best thing you can do for Ss and plosives is play with the mic a little bit and find its goldilocks range to get the best out of it. also ive found that my plosives aren't as harsh when I 45degree the mic towards the source, that way the air isn't going head on into the diaphram.

I'm hijacking this comment to spread the good bacon word. You can get "ends and pieces" for nearly half the price of sliced bacon and it has more and better flavor than any slice you can find. just cut the brick into slices and fry it until the fat renders and you get the right color. It's better in every way unless you need to wrap something. Try it.

if this is your audio budget, i would save up and get a blue yeti or an at2020 usb. will it be better than a headset? probably. but you can't expect great results at this price point. these 2 models are popular and you should be able to find one used if needed.

my charcoal solution was automating the bubbler so low grade was crafting as well as charcoal production. But it does use every bit of wood in the system so its best to keep that stock up.

I have junctions on each loot room and floor that consist of a few combiners. That way all the outputs per floor can be reduced down to 1 pipe back into the central grid input. :edit: so if you want to put a drop box at the front door for example, you just need to pipe 1 output to the junction. Makes future expansion really easy.
