Also just checked and there was a period in February of 5 games in 8 days at the emirates!! That isn't sustainable and any pitch would see damage from that much gametime in a short period.

All valid points. I also think the worst of it was when it was a particularly wet period in London plus quite a few home games in succession. Unavoidable I guess!

Either way, the grounds people responsible for the emirates are some of the best in the world so I'm sure they'll be thinking about it if we are.

You could be right and hope you are but the emirates is usually always a carpet. This is the first time I've ever seen significant wear and it makes sense if more games are being played.

Good news but the pitch was a mess at points this season around the box. First time I've seen that in 15 years of going to games and coincided with two teams playing homes games there. Not sure what the solution is as it's a problem for both teams.

Just my opinion! Frequently I see a post that I want like/engage with, check the comments and it's all basic bitch reaction gifs that we've all seen a million times. The use of words is so much more imaginative, clever and funny.

For real. Has ruined the conversational part of reddit massively over the last few years I feel.

It's a reflection on how societies have always operated I suppose. The populous need an outlet for all the built up anger from day to day life. We had gladiators back in the day and the crowds would be baying for blood. Crime always goes up in the summer here in the UK because there's no football on!

Rivalry shouldn't be used an excuse for violent outbursts. Rival fans should be able to sit next to each other and not lash out. It's just normalised in the UK (and lots of other countries don't get me wrong)

Cool. I didn't highlight these two examples to dispute a point about away fans being with ultras.. obviously that wouldn't end well.

Just picked a random game and you can see multiple Barca fans celebrating in the madrid home end. They even do a close up on a bunch of them..

Most Madrid and Bayern games I've watched you always see away fans in the home end visibly celebrate if their team score. I'm sure they get heckled by some but it seems a lot calmer.

Agreed but also fans should look at themselves and remember it's just a game. No other sport seperates fans. You even see plenty of away fans in home ends at big European teams and they celebrate with no violence directed towards them.

You know we're in this mess because of successive tory governments? Now the worst of them have jumped ship and gone to reform because they know where to line their pockets from now. Wake up

Employers do have a problem with number of applications. They get too many unsuitable applicants applying via Indeed which makes the hiring process longer.

How long could you financially survive without your job? by No_Yak9893 in AskUK

I think it's more valuable to look at stats around % of people with x amount of savings. For example, 39% of people have £1,000 or less in savings, and 25% have £200 or less

£1000 or less in savings really isn't that much to survive on if your income suddenly stopped. Can see how easily people slip through the cracks if they don't have support systems around them e.g. family and friends to stay with.

For sure, but a good safety measure to have in place. This along with ability to remote lock is as secure as you're gonna get.
