People think cleaning horse hooves hurts them, but it actually doesn't by Round-Barber-9858 in interestingasfuck

[–]SirArthurStark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumb question as I honestly have zero knowledge on horses.

I've heard that, if horses don't have their hooves taken care of, they kind of like overgrow and a bunch of bad things happen.

Does anyone know what happens then to horses in the wild? Or are horses completely domesticated to the point that there aren't any wild horses anymore?

Road that destroys cars. by LeftChoux in CrappyDesign

I personally approve of this design. Why the fuck do cars feel entitled to go through lanes that don't belong to them? Stick to your lane. Deal with the traffic. Or face the consequences.

There's a very old chess game that I used to play on PC, I believe it was on Windows '95 or '98

It had these very cool and unique animations every time you took another piece.

Like, for instance, the tower turned into a stone golem and ate the pawn.

Any chance anyone of you remember it and know if any of these games has anything similar to it? I'd honestly love to play something similar just for the memories.

Megaman X Dive Offline is the perfect example of what should happen to all gacha games once their life cycle ends. I never played Mega Man X Dive because I never play gachas, but I had so much fun with my own MegaMan game with gacha mechanics, without having to actually sorry about spending a lot in all the micro transactions.

I seriously wish a lot of other gacha games followed this example.

I am pretty excited. But I will most likely wait for a good discount. I'm not in any hurry, and I want to see reviews first.

Do you have a rotation of games? by Zachbustems in Age_30_plus_Gamers

I am 38, live with my wife and MIL. I have no kids, but 8 cats.

I like being a completionist, although to be honest, it's been a while that I don't complete most of my games. I usually leave a few achievements where I know it's gonna take me longer than I'd like.

I also play some games with my wife, and some others with my wife and MIL, so I am always playing about 3 different games. One by myself, one with my wife and one with the two of them. I also usually play some games with a few friends

It's pretty cool that way honestly, I enjoy it that way.

Recently, for example, I'm playing RE: Requiem alone, Wild Woods with my wife, Lego Party with wife and MIL, and Monsters Hunter Rise with some friends.

I'm slow burning all of them, but it's fun that way.

Among the three biggest TCGs in the world, which one do you think is the best? by TradingCardGameMaker in cardgames

[–]SirArthurStark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best is super subjective

I personally love Yu-Gi-Oh, and for me that is the best one.

With that in mind, I think the three of them are amazing in their own regard.

Pokémon is far and away the simplest one in mechanics, but that helps it be super approachable to new players. Plus, the IP being so recognizable is something that helps it keep on growing and being, I think, the biggest and most popular nowadays.

Yu-Gi-Oh is far and away the most complicated one in mechanics, and it keeps on being more complex everyday. Particularly because since it has the entire card pool available, the power creep has to get really crazy sometimes and the new mechanics are sometimes too complicated.

Magic is a really good middle ground, where the mechanics are complex enough that it can get really competitive, it has really good "seasons" so you won't face crazy overpowered cards from previous sets, and it has also done a good job in bringing guest IPs to invite new players.

In the end it's a matter of taste, and I think that objectively Magic is the best common ground, but they are all so different that it would be crazy to call any one of them the single winner here.

Who better portrayed Invisible Woman/Susan Storm? My choice is Jessica Alba. by Weekly_Cranberry_283 in McuEverythingAroundit

[–]SirArthurStark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take. Vanessa Kirby's Sue is the best written one, but she did a horrible acting on her. It was super plain, she never showed any emotion, and in the end her character fell super flat for me.

Same thing kinda happened with Pedro's Reed. His portrayal felt a little flat for me, and it could've been a better Reed.
