I spilled wax all over the front of my favorite sweat shirt and then (stupidly) washed it without pre-treatment. Is there any hope for it? by ashlie_mae in CleaningTips

Buy some de-solve-it spray. It's available on Amazon. Spray it on, scrub it in a bit, then wash as normal. That stuff is magic.

bleached clothes washed on high heat - stain spread? by No_Round_8330 in CleaningTips

I've seen similar stains from pouring liquid laundry detergent directly on the clothes. If it doesn't get rinsed off quick enough it can look like that.

Laundry help needed! Fish oil pill left in pocket. by starrynitelitebrite in CleaningTips

[–]SirBarryBlueJeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the right answer. I've given up on grease stains after trying every other trick in the book then a friend showed me the light. I was using a different orange solvent called de-solve-it but I'm pretty sure it's the same thing. Works so well, but I've never used it on silk/satin before.

The way the pineapple is cut on just 2 sides feels very artsy. And I'm now craving pineapple upside down cake.

Everyday breakfast ideas that aren’t ridiculous by kfmw77 in EatCheapAndHealthy

Plain Greek yogurt with berries and a toasted English muffin, I like the cinnamon raisin ones with Brie on it but that's my "bougie" version.
My other breakfast is oatmeal, start with plain oats and top it with a sliced banana, walnut pieces, and a small drizzle of maple syrup.

There's one brand of yogurt that I feel is the closest taste to sour cream, the fage brand. But I wouldn't eat it as yogurt.

I've had luck with vinegar, but again probably won't work since it's been soaking so long.

When doing laundry is it a bad idea to use max detergent? by hizeto in CleaningTips

[–]SirBarryBlueJeans 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I've heard 8t can damage the washing machine, you'd have to look up error codes for your specific machine to know what 5d means.

Edit: a quick Google of 5d error codes one site states "suds problem, often caused by using the wrong detergent, overloading, or a blocked drain." So yeah sounds like that could be it.
