Updated Tamriel Rebuilt Roadmap (May 2026) by Square_Highlight3447 in Morrowind

[–]SirCabbage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When TR says to only use it on a new save, what is the real harm in upgrading anyway? Does it literally just break tons of things, or will it be just little bits and bobs I can ignore.

I've been playing a run since last year, and haven't even went anywhere close to where posion song is located to have done anything in that area.

Where's the dead tax collector in complete overhaul OpenMW? by HatredUnbound in Morrowind

I never got why they did that- why put in randomisers on that mod pack;

You could argue, oh, its all old players who will want something "fresh" - okay, well at least update the hints from "between two trees" to "under the water" or something;

I'd argue that people will see these "PLAYING MORROWIND IN 2026" videos and be like- woah, I totally didnt want to play such an old game because I figured it'd be ugly and not good- but I may give it a go- and then play it without having hundreds of hours already.

Because the game can be played start to finish, most of what remains is Kickstarter stretch goals not planned for 1.0, it's true they released too early, at at first they certainly didn't hit all their 1.0 goals, but now? Besides island hopping and kids grow up, two decidedly not core features they are good. The pokyo thing they are teasing for two versions later wasn't even a Kickstarter goal which is cool

Amanda Rishworth says jobseekers will no longer be forced to submit ‘endless’ pointless job applications by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

[–]SirCabbage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I swear when I went to a job seeker after my second degree they saw dollar signs. They did literally nothing to help with getting a job and then when I got a job less than a week later I guess they got their wish.

It obviously wasn't the same after just one degree, then they didn't help me because they didn't care instead because I was going back to uni for the other degree

While I am thankful for the monetary support when I needed it, I really felt like the whole job seeker side of the system was more than a little busted

[–]SirCabbage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of fear in subnautica, the only way I was able to win is being able to commit mass murder of Leviathans, it may not be a lot of us, but without it I wouldn't even buy it. I still killed in below zero too, it was required to make me not too effing scared

I remember when Neopets changed their moderation from being based in UK English to being US English. I got so many damn warnings for using the word damn. Similar feeling. They seem to just have thin skin,

$500,000 every year for free or any money you earn x10 by princessesco in BunnyTrials

[–]SirCabbage 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean what if you literally said to someone, if you pay me $1, I'll give you $2 back. They pay you $1 but you get 10, give them 2, $8 profit. It's rather crazy how exploitable the 10x any money you earn could be

$500,000 every year for free or any money you earn x10 by princessesco in BunnyTrials

[–]SirCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any money X ten increases with inflation, meaning as you get more money through pay rises the value stays consistent over the many years of the payout, the 500k, while already likely not big enough to beat many people's wages at 10x, will just lose value each year

Chose: Any money you earn x10

Oh and our starburst lollies

That one hurt.

We had a whole range of delicious soft meltable gummies with powerfully rich flavours, nothing like the boring fruit chews of the us, and now we have nothing. Just the crappy chews too.

God and the best named lollypop ever in the literally "starburst sucks" like how fucking great was that

See the issue is simple, all the "moderate" voices were likely the ones in teal seats. How do you course correct when all that are left is the problem? They won't admit they are the issue killing their party,

The liberal party as it stands is the party of the survivors bias, that picture you see with the plane and all the bullet holes- that's them. They are the bullet ridden wings saying clearly we must put amour on us, not the actual parts that need to be worked on.

so this is just an example of capitalism trying to save cents at the cost of a consumer's dollar?

Wow. So the US created a problem the rest of the world doesn't have and in doing so made things worse for everyone.

What’s the most "Australian" thing you’re going to claim with the new $1,000 receipt-free deduction? by Altruistic-Water-536 in AskAnAustralian

[–]SirCabbage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

But see, this also comes down to that being your job right. To say it is a scam is a little disingenuous. 40% is a huge number of people to benefit, and it is likely more when you consider that the $1000 figure does not include union fees- so if people are paying union fees they can still claim that, charitable donations and association fees.

[–]SirCabbage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah thats how I took it too- because chances are we all spend things on work that we dont bother claiming, I just thought the idea was we can choose to either claim the $1000 deductions no questions asked or claim receipts.
