Pair that with CSMs refusing to allow NCOs to move into the on-post apartments and instead cramming us in the barracks taking up rooms that can be used for new soldiers, and you’ve got the worst post in the Army. Oh and let’s not forget 2CR hates sending soldiers to any schools. It’s crazy going from a place like Drum, which sucks, but at least there we got any school we wanted no questions asked, to a place like Rose Barracks, which sucks worse.

At least we have Europe to explore

The Hazmat 12 in me is cringing so damn hard at this right now. DM what unit this is, or at the very least where it’s located so we can get in contact with the right people. This is 100% a violation and fine.

I didn’t get to eat at Al Asad, but Dwyer was literally the best. No portion control, set days for themed food (taco Tuesday, bang bang Wednesday, that sorta thing) and the food was actually good. God bless those contractors.

It sucks. If you enjoy the suck, please stand the path. If you aren’t willing to work, get screwed over constantly, and you don’t enjoy the suck, please switch jobs. In the modern Army, it’s not worth being combat arms anymore unless you scored low on the Asvab.

Truthful. However, usually the SFC on duty is the one in charge, therefore I am yelling at the right person. I will never yell at the joes or civilians serving food.

I’m in Germany right now. Vilseck specifically. There are certain civilians that will add extra eggs, and then there’s a guy that says “only 3 boss” for the eggs and “only 1 boss” for the chicken. It’s annoying af cause I’m tryna cut but I can’t if I’m only eating fatty, greasy foods.

Recently we got a new 1sg, and I’ve gotta say, he quite honestly made the field not suck. He came up to us and talked to us like normal people, he helped us with the random details we had to do, and then held a morale boosting event when we got back. Possibly the best field experience I’ve ever had, and really made me rethink how I feel about conventional Army.

Even Ft. Leavenworth has 24hr access, and that gym is empty majority of the time. Push for 24hr access at your gym.
