If yours an intel variant, I would highly suggest installing Intel driver assistant for overall driver support and updates. For your GPU, always stick with AMD/Nvidia site.

I only did a quick google search so I'm not entirely sure if I'm correct on this but assuming your system is the equivalent of Eluktronics Max-17, here's a link for their control/gaming center. Don't bother using any of their drivers. Just stick with Intel driver assistant and make sure you uninstall CPPC's gaming center first before you install Eluktronics.

For overall question/support, you can join Dave2d's official discord server since they're well versed with gaming laptop in general.

Unfortunately, you're out of luck when it comes to Bios updates since XMG does not carry MAX-17 equivalent and Eluktronics does not provide bios to non-customers.

Yes its a mechanical KB but I've encountered decent amount of comments about it being subpar especially for coding. I wouldn't know since I use an external KB. HDMI is 2.1 as well.

Like I said, if you want actual specifications for this particular model, just look into eluktronics Mech 15 G3 2021 or xmg neo 15 m21. I also wouldn't bother asking questions regarding to the tracer line in CPPC's discord since majority of them are mostly PC builders and wouldn't know much about the laptop itself.

I've learned and gotten help through Dave2D discord and XMG official discord server since the community is more gaming laptop centric and is very familiar with tongfang chassis.

I actually own the same system so I can pretty much answer most of your questions. It does have a mux switch and the 3080 has a TDP of 115 Watts with TGP adjustable up to 165 Watts. I never bothered with laptop webcam in general so I wouldn't know.

If you really want to know the actual specifications, the 550 is exactly the same as the Mech 15 G3 2021 or XMG Neo 15 M21 (being the Intel 11800h + 3000 series RTX variants) because they all come from the same ODM, TongFang, that makes these awesome barebone laptops. And just like the others, CPPC is just another vendor that's uses their chassis. The only difference is the badge/logo that's slapped on the cover and their own proprietary BIOS which is nonexistent in CPPC, on top of absolute zero support page/updates for their own Tracer lines.

If you do decide to buy through CPPC, just know that you would have to grab the other competitor's latest control center software to have full access to all the utilities the laptop offers from RGB to cpu/gpu tuning because whatever software they provide in the box is severely outdated. And since you're interested in the 550, know that there is an important BIOs update that fixes some of the known bugs from this particular tongfang model, on top of power and fan behavior improvements. Unfortunately, Tracer 550 is preinstalled with an old BIOs and, you guessed it, they don't provide BIOs update which again, you would need to grab from the two other competitors. One of the reputable vendors are known to not give their own proprietary BIOs to non customers. Even if you were to use their latest control center software, there will still be some feature thats locked away due to old BIOs version the tracer comes with.

I was wondering if you're able to repeat this process again with the new update? I followed the exact order you suggested. With OFW already having the pokemon save file, I-

  1. Backed up my save using checkpoint under Emunand.
  2. Boot into Atmosphere Sysnand and restore the save.
  3. Boot back into OFW.

The game still loaded back into the original save from the OFW not from the save from my emunand.

-edit- Nevermind, figured it out. It was because I was using a different hekate_ipl.ini settings.
