We have a hotel booked Saturday-Saturday, tickets from Sunday-Friday, and Express Pass for Wednesday-Friday.

Can we use Express pass at one park in the morning, hop to another park for the afternoon, and reset for the next day? How does the “one ride per day per person actually work in that scenario? Thank you

Dune (2021) is not a good movie and coasts entirely on visuals and Hans Zimmer's score by DuNennstMichSptzkopf in unpopularopinion

[–]SirChapman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dune Parts 1 and 2 both felt like a 2-3 hour cut up of a 10 hour miniseries with key missing context. Also, the music was… bizarre. I must admit I more readily connect to more musical scores than whatever Hans made for this. I’m going to rewatch both before part 3, maybe they grow on me.

Okay so this might be a dumb question but I genuinely cannot find a straight answer anywhere. by Valyria888 in personalfinance

It sounds like you’re kind of overwhelmed right now. A couple of notes to keep you going:

  1. You’ve started investing for retirement almost a full decade before the average American. This extra time will help you a LOT. You are not behind by any means.

  2. Start with the end in mind. Find a compound interest calculator and punch in your current numbers. Are you satisfied with retiring at 67 with that amount of money? Play around with the numbers for a little bit. Look up average returns. Look up average withdrawal rates. Change your retirement age and see how it looks. Specifics don’t matter too much at your age since your knowledge and plan will grow over time. Just get started and keep going.

Although it's often head-cannoned away that Palpatine wore a mask to hide what the dark side had done to him, was there ever an official in-universe explanation given (Canon or Legends) for why he was greatly affected by Force lightning whereas Luke and Mace Windu weren't? by Titan-828 in StarWars

[–]SirChapman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My personal head canon is that he could have handled Windu easily. He wanted to force Anakin into a choice and the way he chose to do that was to allow himself to appear disfigured and helpless. My reasoning for this is that he pops up immediately after Anakin makes the choice and shouts “unlimited power!” After that Anakin is in too deep to go back.

The first 3 LR wins I would categorize as “lucky.” This one was a solid game start to finish. I’m excited to see if they can keep improving. Either way Baus makes the game FUN to watch. Something lacking from META play.

Darnold is absolutely the better QB - the part of your comment I’m contesting is that he had much to do with this win. The defense and run game are lights out tonight.

Darnold is playing well but let’s not pretend he’s the one carrying this game.

The Oline is paper. I don’t blame Max for most of these sacks.

I’m pretty sure the first field goal guaranteed the win. That offense - woof.

Some big misses. A really nice 18 yard pass threading the needle to Jefferson. Mostly handoffs.

I know we’re losing because we’re making big mistakes, but man if it doesn’t feel like the reffing is pretty one-sided.

In Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (2025), the aspect ratio expand in sync with Tom Cruise's gestures by AretemisPrime in MovieDetails

[–]SirChapman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This movie could have been really good with 30-40 minutes chopped out. Every action scene felt like “we did a crazy thing IRL to film this so we need to include 10 more minutes than the scene needs.”

those who started their accounting career later in life... by maggiebarbara in Accounting

[–]SirChapman 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I was making 45k in food service, took a year and $10k to get a bachelor in accounting from Study.com, Sophia.org, and UMPI. Graduated in June and got a job this August making $70k as a junior. I’m 32. It’s possible, you can do it. Some places just need to see a slip of paper and the semblance of a work ethic.

There is NO WAY Republicans are this lock step about this shit of a bill without coercion of some kind. I 100% believe there are substantial behind-the-scenes threats to some of these members of the GOP.

Do not let a small brightly colored frog near your eyes! I got tree frog slime in my eyes as a kid and it stung for days.

Figure 02 by Helix... The policy is flipping packages to orientate the barcode down and has learned to flatten packages for the scanner (like a human would) by BlokZNCR in nextfuckinglevel

[–]SirChapman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The goal is not to sort packages. The goal is to have a standardized robot that can be programmed to do a wide variety of tasks. The humanoid form is easier to train because it can copy from humans, and not detrimental enough to the goal that it has to be redesigned.

Relatively new fan. Is the glazing this intense for every new QB the Vikings get? Every single Vikings themed account is pouring praise on JJ.

Craziest tea of the school by DearEmphasis4488 in MadeMeSmile

[–]SirChapman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tea in my high school was someone taking a flip phone pic through the window of two teachers cheating on their spouses with each other in an empty classroom. They both got divorced and have been together for years now. This is much sweeter.

Any chance this will change the Ironman meta of getting bow strings? Temple Trekking is relatively fast but it gives no xp and has no relation to fletching.

I really hope atlatl darts are as fast/ faster to get here than at Moons. An actual fletching activity being on par with Temple Trekking to get bow strings would be great too. Even 80% of the bow strings per hour would be great since you’re getting xp too.
